Restoration The TANK of Watches - Polishing - Vintage Certina DS-2 - ASMR - Cal 25-661

I've been a long fan of this modell, Certina DS-2. So I tried my luck and bought one in an auction. The watch was heavily worn but I saw that it had a beautiful dial under the cracked glass.

The watch was a joy to work on, Certinas from 1970 is built like a tank, solid thick metall and robust parts.

In the end after all work I think this watch turned out very good, movement is in a good condition also. Ready for new action :D

Do you know if I can buy a Stem for this model? I think is a W2822 but I don't know if is a standard stem in the market

Beautiful sharp camera work. Great attention to detail. Sensible ambient sound track. Traditional & simple, yet highly effective parts cleaning. All round grand & Great job !! with a super time keeping result, so got to be Top marks for that.!! As an aside, I have an Eterna-Matic *Kon-Tiki, late 70's, also built like a TANK- & very similar ? & unusual design, but I have never seen inside it's workings & shock proofing... which came first I wonder ? *Thor Heyerdahl's (very brave)Epic-Atlantic crossing in a reed boat !

Not daring to take the movement apart, I think of refreshing the worn case and replacing the glass myself. Can you tell me which gaskets and glass you used in your Certina DS2 project? Thanks a lot!
