To the younger generation of Americans born after the 20th century: this is what it's like to have a sense of humor. Try not to take the jokes PERSONALLY. Gee whiz. Lighten up and have some fun once in a while and not be into politics 24/7. And yeah, we made fun of our presidents...you should too.

Rickles was the 'ad-lib' King, he owned late-night TV, Vegas headliner comedy and variety shows throughout the late 50s to the late 80s. A massive talent in his own right, almost 'slumming' by appearing on the Jerry Lewis Telethon given what we now know of Jerry Lewis in the 21st century.

There really was a lot of complaints about Jerry's ego. Starting with : The Jerry Lewis Telethon for MD. He even took top billing over the disease!

I don't care what people say about Jerry Lewis or how he was outside of the telephone or anything else but what he has done for muscular dystrophy and all the children he really really cared and it came from his heart he really honestly and truly loved and cared about the children was all about the children and muscular dystrophy I mean for god sakes the man was crying and weeping on television national TV that was for the children he was a great man I don't care what anybody says and there hasn't been since he died nobody that honored him or gave him some kind of honor for doing what he did I watched him for over 50 years with the Telethon they should honor him in some kind of special way on television for all to see rest in peace Jerry Lewis
