I should clarify this is a conspiracy theory made by me. (You can never convince the dev meat riders)
Ответитьi appreciate someone having the balls to say this without fear of backlash against the majority of sheep
Ответитьmicrotransactions is not needed, no need for inflation 3
Ответитьdo you have some money to spare
ОтветитьHey can yoi give me 200k$ I need 200k$ more for Paterson Navy.
ОтветитьThey delivery the Plushie in June 2025...
ОтветитьImagine they make spitfire available by purchasing like a $50 plushie
ОтветитьIf you were a developer of the wild west I bet you would always release updates
ОтветитьAs a fellow developer on roblox - the devs are just... simply put it..... trash. They make excuses to delay the updates simply because they don't want to. Trust me, all the stuff they're doing or what they've leaked so far can easily be down ALONE (by me) in a mere 3 months (what they've managed to accomplish these past 3 years for the progression update) The mods banned me with an excuse because I kept stating stuff such as this and that the devs were lazy. I hope everyone else comes to realize too that the devs, simply put, do NOT care about the community.
ОтветитьI'm a staff member for Cook Burgers (the roblox game), and our team has been approached by Makeship several times. Despite the fact we haven't yet partnered with them, it'd be incredibly easy to. Do not use this pretty cool real life merch opportunity as fuel against these overworked devs. They have not abandoned the game, they never promised a november release date. That was made with (impatient) people like you in mind, some transparency to give the playerbase some peace of mind. Turning that around on them will only discourage further transparency. You are actively damaging this community with this misinformation.
Ответитьwell made video, glad you used your platform to call it out.
ОтветитьI'll explain the plush argument. If makeshift is taking, most likely a 70-30 cut, the devs are making at least $2,400 if they hit the minimum of 200 plushies sold. On top of the game passes, old toy boxes with the collector's badge (which btw was promised to have an ingame reward in the future which has yet to be done), and donations, including the weekly donations board and all-time for the western legend, faction slots, bank slots, custom name, ragdoll, they are making quite the profit.
The argument with the plush, is that there has been so much money already invested by players into the game, with an expectation of a new update every now and then. It could be simple, like a new auction item. Buying this plushy is supporting the devs directly, but the problem is that they have been supported with a steady flow of cash for the past few years without releasing many updates. People use the argument that new auction items can't be added due to what Tyridge said in the devblog about every individual item being hard to code, but what they are forgetting, is that this isn't new. A kukri and a axegonne have been added after the auction update released, meaning the weapons system can be worked on without exhausting too much time and effort.
Players would not be as frustrated if there wasn't a lack of transparency, lack of correct estimations, and these "coming soon" promises. This plushy should have been released after, as right now, it seems that it was only to make a quick buck. This is coming from someone who has played for over four years, with the looming "progression update" said to release every year, not even mentioning building. If a dev would like to rebuttal any of what I just said to change my thoughts, please do. Would love for my mind to be changed.
To all the dev glazers.
Gimme spit 🤑
Ответитьits almost like this is a hobby project.......................

Ответитьi have every game pass in the game and if they add more game passes it wuld be more fun cuz i want to sepnd more money on the game i want to soprot the game
.
1st. This has been a full time job for Tyridge for the past 5 years.
2nd. They have not lied to us, they has just been wrong.
3rd. You want the devs to get more money to fund their game (which they are not having issues with), but you want to boycott a plush, with both denys them money and keeps them from being able to get the funding you think they need?
4th. You sound so entitled, please just wait patiently and stop being so distrustful, or do some research.
Not only is this sensationalist speculation, but it’s not even internally consistent. Very TTOUFIQ of you.
If the issue is money, and their main source of revenue is gamepasses, what sense does it make to hold back huge updates to gamepasses that make them more appealing?
This video contains a buuunchh of speculation without proper research, so here's me rattling everything down:
1. Plushie.
The plushie exists purely because MAKESHIP reached out, and all the work for it can be done outside of dev times, such as on the bus and whatnot.
The devs themselves only get a cut of roughly, 20% of the money excluding taxes? Its not supposed to be a money grab, just a passionate project.
2. "Devs abandoned the game" and "its just a hobby"
This certainly is not true. If you research a bit, you actually find the following info:
Tyridge literally fainted because of the delayed Halloween Update '23, from stress!
If you check the dev times of the developers, they are in studio for hours and are offline for only a few hours.
3. "The issue is money"
Also not true; The main issue is Roblox. It is very unforgiving and not very cooperative, often things overlap and it screws everything up. You can quite literally misspell a single letter in, say, Horse Code, and suddenly doors are not working. (something similar already happened in the live game!!!)
You can't simply do what they are doing on Roblox with such ease. Cut them some slack, they could've easily made this game into a money-making machine, but chose not to in order to release their passions.
"oh but just add micro-transaction"
The entire point of TWW is, to create a fun open-world experience which is NOT filled with such cash-grabs. Thats why it exists, and thats why it is being worked on.
4. The Devs are lying to us!
They're really not. They are just too ambitious. If you actually research what they've said on multiple medias, you would see. (besides, actual experiences back this up)
They took too large goals at a too large scale, and combined with Roblox, this happens. As mentioned earlier, Roblox is a pain in the back.
The devs quickly noticed this though, and stopped with release dates; Tyridge gave out an estimate which was again proven to false due to Roblox.
Don't get me wrong here, by no means am I trying to defend the developers of all their errors and make them look flawless, but the issues you addressed are simply not fairly explained. The developers did make mistakes, just not where you claimed they did. Sure, those are some sort of byproduct, but still. This is not accurate to whats actually happening!!!
