The church is afraid to teach about Nephilim, the real reason Canaan was cursed and so many other things they do not want us to know. The Bible warns about traditions of man. Heiser steps outside the Matrix for truths. I don’t agree with everything heiser says 💯 but his teachings are about right on target.

Couldnt help but notice his critics waited till he was dead to open their mouths. Had to wait for him to be dead.

Dr. Heiser, to me was THE TOP scholar of our time. I would go as far as to comper him in a certain way to the apostle Paul. The way Dr Heiser taught was so in depth and clear, down to earth making sense all of the time.

No one that has read or listened to Heiser's teaching on "the council" could ever mistake him for a polytheist. He's most definitely not.

Comparing Michael Heiser's view of Psalm 82 divine council of gods/elohim to Roman Catholicism and henothism/polythism. Heiser taught in the existance of many gods/elohim in Psalm 82 which is false, which also has the same concept as Roman Catholicism, this kind of teaching is the same but just packaged different. Heiser also taught that these gods/elohim are angels, which is completely wrong. Psalm 82 Heiser taught that the scene is in the heavens in the spiritual realm, which is also false. He used Psalm 89 to try to prove this. Psalm 89 is in the heavens, but Psalm 82 is on the Earth referring to Israel>>>The Chosen People", not a bunch of angels.

Starting with Roman Catholicism and paganism.
Roman Catholicism has “saints” one can pray to in order to gain a particular blessing. For example, Saint Gianna Beretta Molla is the patron saint of fertility. Francis of Assisi is the patron saint of animals. There are multiple patron saints of healing and comfort. Nowhere is even a hint of this taught in Scripture. Just as the Roman pantheon of gods had a god of love, a god of peace, a god of war, a god of strength, a god of wisdom, etc., so the Catholic Church has a saint who is “in charge” over each of these and many other categories. Many Roman cities had a god specific to the city, and the Catholic Church provided “patron saints” for cities as well.

Most Roman emperors (and citizens) were henotheists. A henotheist is one who believes in the existance of many gods/elohim, but focuses primary on one particular god or considers one god supreme over the other gods/elohim in the spiritual realm located in the heavens.
other examples: 1) The Roman god Jupiter was supreme over the Roman pantheon of gods. 2) Roman soldiers were often worshippers of Neptune, the god of the oceans.
A person can see how some planets got named in the solar system.

Polythesim
Polytheism is the belief that there are many gods. Breaking the word down, “poly” comes from the Greek word for “many,” and “theism” from the Greek word for “God.” Polytheism has perhaps been the dominant theistic view in human history. The best-known example of polytheism in ancient times is Greek/Roman mythology (Zeus, Apollo, Aphrodite, Poseidon, etc.). The clearest modern example of polytheism is Hinduism, which has over 300 million gods. Although Hinduism is, in essence, pantheistic, it does hold to beliefs in many gods. It is interesting to note that even in polytheistic religions, one god usually reigns supreme over the other gods, e.g., Zeus in Greek/Roman mythology and Brahman in Hinduism.

Now a person can see Heiser's world view concept is nothing new when it come to Psalm 82. Heiser's view on Psalm 82 is really no different than Roman Catholicism, henotheism and polytheism. Heiser claimed his view was not polytheism, but is was and more.

Heiser taught that in Psalm 82 that the gods/elohim (angels) made up this divine council in the heavens in the spiritual realm. Heiser claimed that these god/elohim (angels) were over other nations, 70 gods/elohim (angels). Israel may be included in this because it is thought that the angel Michael was over the nation of Israel, but that is not the point, the point is the pagan nations had other gods/elohim over them and had designated regions and were in charge of these regions, no different than polytheism and henotheism.
Heiser used the tower of Babel event in Genesis 11 and Deuteronomy 32 to prove this as well as other parts of scripture.

A person can see henotheism and polytheism this world view of Heiser's align and coordinate, as well with aligning and coordinating with Roman Catholicism with the roles of different saints in Catholicism in the heavens and in the spiritual realm. Mary is the most elavated saint in Catholicism, where Heiser elavated angels (gods/elohim/divine council) in Psalm 82. Both Heiser and Catholicism are false, misleading, deceptive and just WRONG. Henotheism and Polytheism are aslo wrong.

2 Corinthians 11:14 (ESV) And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light. (NIV) And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light.

--What Satan does using both translations is what Satan just masquerades as different pagan gods/elohim. Satan can transform and masquerade as the sun god, Zeus, Mercurius, molech, saints in Catholicism, Mary in Catholicism, Jupiter, Neptune, Baal, ...ect.
--So the source of all these so called "gods/elohim" comes down to the god of the world who is Satan.
2 Corinthians 4:4 In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.
--The god of this world is Satan, so many are kept in darkness and deceived by the angel of light who is Satan.

In Summary a person can see with Heiser's teaching on Psalm 82 about the gods/elohim is no different than what Roman Catholicism, henotheism and polytheism. All have the same concept, but packed different and the source of this is Satan who masquerades as different god/elohim and even saints in the spiritual realm in the heavens. Satan is also the father of lies (John 8:44).
Simply put it is Satan just MASQUERADING as all of these other spiritual beings (gods/elohim) in heavenly places and what happens man by being deceived by Satan promotes this kind of LIE through henotheism, polytheism, Roman Catholicism and people like Micaheal Heiser and his book the Unseen Realm. Heiser has passed away, but his teaching still exists. Basically this is all against God/Elohim and is Idolatry or a form of Idolatry.

Paul in Romans 12:2 about a world view>>>> 2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

Horrible, to call this man a heretic when the man is one of the most knowledgeable people on prehistory and history. He never did any of the things they accused him of. And when he can't defend himself. He would have embarrassed any of you in a debate. But you wouldn't try this when he was alive. They are trying to ride his coattails.

Heiser is one of a kind, that God used to be a critical thinker. Use by God to see and read the scripture in a greater way. Not just believing whose who are preaching or teaching but to check it yourself!!!!I missed ser mike heiser!!!!

I’ve listened to a LOT of the naked bible podcast…. I got the sense that he valued the early church fathers a lot. That’s odd… After listening to the unseen realm and really digging into Micheal Heisers stuff, I turned into a massive bible geek. I thank God for him. I value him more than just about anyone but he’s just a dude who says a lot of stuff that got me into bible study. I find it odd that anyone could not like him.

Michael is a man like us all ,not perfect not infallible, but nun the less very good at exposing parts of our bible that needed the light shined on . I would be very careful about judging this man . He is dead ,leave him alone and respect him for what he accomplished by opening thus very useful subject matter . Do not judge another man's servant unless you are willing to be judged by the same standard .

Mr Heiser teaches there are other gods like God just lower gods. Know who else done that HEATHENS.. There are NO other gods lesser or anything else there is only God as Yeshua says... This is eternal life that they may know you the only true God, and Yeshua Hamashiac who you have sent.... This has become a big problem these days listening to man and not God.

The Bible is pretty clear about not talking poorly about other believers. Who cares if someone believes a different interpretation of a NON SALVATION ISSUE? Like the rapture for instance. Yaweh is not going to ban you from Heaven because you got an unimportant theology wrong. He cares more about WHY you believe it. Heiser is 100% spot-on when it comes to the Gospel and that is 100% of your salvation. Any believer who publically bashes another deserves any spiritual correction that Yahweh deems appropriate

The problem is, most people are followers and not leaders. I don't care what their position is. They are not leadership. They are not open-minded..... They have no desire to think outside the box. I am currently working on my MDiv and from all the commentaries and peer reviewed articles, it so easy to see that throughout history change came when someone in the church wasn't afraid to stand up to the institution. Don't forget churches, schools, etc are corporations and not Jesus or God. People always interpret things with their worldview. Again, unless you are a Philiologist, or and Acient Language Scholar, I'm probably not going to listen to your opinion on Acient Languages. There is so much discord right now in the church. WE NEED TO BAND TOGETHER AND JUST REMEMBER ONE THING, JESUS PAID THE PRICE....

Guys, how do you square the first commandment with the idea that at the Tower of Babel, God allotted the nations to members of his divine council? Have no other gods before me but I'm going to put these gods in charge of you for a while? God giving people over to lesser gods absolutely doesn't gel with His commandment. Am I missing something?

I have a lot of questions I would've liked to have asked him. I'll just have to dig through what he's said already before he went to the Lord. I don't agree with him on everything, as I believe he was somewhat constrained in what he shared about everything he believed, for whatever reasons he had.

I miss Michael Heiser so much. I listened to hours and hours of his content and have read a couple of his books. He lived for Jesus and shared the Gospel. It is a serious issue for brothers and sisters in Christ to dishonour his memory by suggesting that he was a heretic. Sure, people should feel free to critique his work, but please don't suggest he was unsaved. Remnant, thank you for standing up for Heiser.
