The new CMO seems to just want to extract as much money from the players as possible! I suppose if you hire someone for EA or the other big publishers then their corrosive culture will seep into the wonderful culture CIG used to have! Remove or relocate all hired EA / Big Publisher executives from CIG!

I'm guessing there is going to be another "pop-up" sale in the near future, as it seems like whenever the community rages enough to actually spook CIG, they tend to drop a new "shiny" thing or other item(s) folks want at a discount, or just hand those things out.

What's funnier, is they keep removing things that might actually keep us quiet, like the persistent hangars. They had a working feature, which they dropped to work on another feature that would require a few more years to develop. Hell bringing back the original or even the second version of the hangar module with the weapon testing seat and ability to set up the indoor cart track from a decade+ back would actually be a step forward right now lol

I rather like the idea of flight blades. The implantation of them... Not so much. Kinda wish they were in the PTU and for ALL ships that have a flight computer or avionics. Was hoping to have my Starlancer MAX have a little more in the Get There department. Guess I'll have to wait for that. Not going to pony up some cash in the store though.

lol CIG is obviously running out of money due to their costs rising faster than what they're making. So they're being forced to get worse or find a sugar daddy like tecent for example. In which they would give up almost all control and forced to release a game outside of their control. Now they pissed off their whales and everyone else, good work CiG.

I find it hilarious when someone says "majority" about any Spectrum content. Entire Spectrum is miniscule SC minority consisting of forum addicts. There are lots of people who don't even play - they just read and post. It represents nothing.

I been playing star citizen for almost 2yr.

the whole time I'm trying to do mining, hauling, del. or currier, and shoot a mpc or two, to have some fun,

Ok I paid for Hul A, so I could DO the cargo game play, to get cash to rent the equipment to go mining, but it was always a problem,

it did not work, or you could not sell, or it did not open,

so I still have not done mining of any type.

now I have not played for a few week's, really I'm just waiting to get cash to buy the robot Sute,

but that will be at the end of the month, mean wile I'm learning to "grow plants" you know ... PLANTS ... so star citizen need's to waite for me to get bord than I'll get the robot Sute, and go mining.

look I'm not the kind to go to pyro and all, I just want a few hours of time to pass in the day playing video games,

"We all know you need money." Then you may as well stop complaining because what other way can they make enough money to keep the game going? A monthly subscription isn't enough.. maybe to run server costs.. but this comes with other problems as well.

This should not be in the store at all, period. Them having it be available through gameplay but also putting it in the store at the same time is not a fix for this whole situation. They are so out of touch its not even funny anymore

To me this wasn't a huge deal in the grand scheme of things. Selling ships is way more egregious to be honest with you. Now, with that said, I think CIG has set the tone that this entire game is going to be P2W and not just ships "funding the development". IMO, this more or less solidified that they will not stop even after the game is released in 2043. Luckily I was able to recoup my money last night. I'll continue to watch the development process but the constant flip flopping and every patch being more broken than the last is enough for me.

The compromise that would help both sides of this is simple really.

Make the ship version of ships and everything the basic versions. Make everything in the game tuneable/upgradable and cheap to buy the base version in game. That way, sure you can buy the blades and ships from the pledge store, but you will still need to get reputation and resources to upgrade them. Make the upgrades the point of the game. This allows them to sell things to basically save people in game money later, since they don't have to keep buying the base version to upgrade. Also, in 1.0 make insursnce claims on items looooong, like several hours.

Not gonna lie the star citizen community is getting exactly the game they permitted CIG to give them.

anyone that active purchases these items or does nothing because "there's nothing I can do to fix it" are the reason why this game is just a cash grab.

Sorry to disagree slightly but I’ve got plenty of dollars of store credit, and using that credit for flight blades or the like so I can skip the grind to buy them in game and get strait to trying out the gameplay is desirable to me. As long as it’s available in game for aUEC.

The game loops are not playable. They have so many game breaking bugs that playing the game player no content. Only free flight is working somewhat. I have not played the game since patch Alpha 3.16.

POE2 is supposed to be free. I'm still waiting...

I think people are overreacting. I was curious so I bought the flight blades for a few ships to see if they work. It’s really only useful on really heavy ships bc small ships usually already have really good handling and acceleration. That being said, it didn’t feel like that much had changed when I installed the blade. I refunded that a day later . People who think the flight blades are gonna be actual progression are joking themselves, focus more on weapons and shields before you get a blade. I think it’s a cash grab just like the ATLS for people who think an incremental improvement will be the determining factor and not their pilot skills

Not.. straight up purchasing them. They should've been just a little thing dropped into the game so they could fiddle and test with how altering flight characteristics for specific ships will affect the overall gameplay environment.
but no, instead we got 15-30 dollar packs for flight blades that are ship specific. GTFO CIG, wtf is this BS?
