Although terms like shaman, priest, or magician are extended to apply to Native American teachers, the terms do not apply nor fit the Native American teachers and leaders, based on the understanding I’ve been given by my elders.
I wonder why Native American teachers are lumped in with eastern traditions, especially when N.A. are more of a side note in these discussions, and usually only referred to as another group which eastern terminology could also be apply to.
As if it was part of some natural course of events.
It would be interesting to hear someone who lives and studies Native American traditions make the same claims, and pronounce that these terms can be used to blanket Native American cultures.

Shamanism, animism, and astral worship was the first sort of religion/belief systems on the planet.
All other religions from prehistoric times onwards derive their stories and beliefs from these first cultures
My guess is shamanism/ancestor worship was the very first then animism and astral followed shortly afterwards

Egypt to me was in a transitional phase between animism and astral beliefs while still maintaining the very base of ancestor worship through a lot of their gods, having been past ancestors promoted to godhood over time

Im guessing Stonehenge was influenced by a Skywalker then. I love the idea of magic and mysticism co-existing. I see them as interrelated personally.
