Isn't 'stalking' already universally seen as a 'bad' thing already? I mean things that pose 'demonstrable risk to the public' are, but for lack of funding (which I'll get to), already prioritised by police, aren't they? This report even concedes the fact that it's limitations on personnel that causes the vast majority of actual attacks to go uninvestigated - so, this being the case (and the fact that so much police time is wasted on the ridiculous), should we not simply (re)allocate funding into areas of violent crime that need them more than, ostensibly, enforcing social media ToS violations?

The problem is, stalking is entirely subjective based on a individual boundaries which may or may not be communicated. If someone is continuously finding ways to contact someone without ever knowing them and they have directly been told to leave the other person alone multiple times then yes that is stalking and criminal action needs to be taken. On the flip said if two people have gotten to know each other one to one in person, over a period of time and have a fallen out/dispute and one person keeps trying to reach out to try and resolve it with no communication back and ends being labelled as a stalker behind there back. Then I think that's wrong. However if someone tells you leave them alone regardless if you know someone or not then a boundary has been set that should not be crossed! That being said I do think this system will be abused and a lot of innocent men will be wrongfully convicted as this country is becoming very anti male!

I am currently being stalked by an Older woman it has been happening for over a year. I have had numerous handwritten, letters presents put through my letter box . Not online or Digital I refused to give her my phone number. But my property was broken into my internet compromised. She has written nasty hand written letters to my neighbours trying to destroy my life? I don’t know this woman she is recruiting men people have no idea what is going on. I have all the evidence, I am waiting on a stalking advocate but it’s a wait the police is not taking this seriously. I feel going to channel 4 to tell my story that stalkers don’t stop. But if I write something online I will be arrested, make it make sense please if a journalist would reach out to me. I live in Northern Ireland only men can be stalkers.
