I have never seen Westworld, but I watch your videos all the time.
ОтветитьWouldn’t P16s be cheaper for stereo?
ОтветитьI've never seen Westworld! That said, thus us a great channel, I've learned so much!
ОтветитьI use a true stereo capable wireless IEM, the ATW-3255. Never bother with panning channels. I just adjust the volume of the channels to emphasize in my ears. One can train their ear to easily pick out instruments or singers they need to hear.
The other thing I can recommend is just save up and get a good wireless IEM system from AT, Shure, or Sennheizer. You get what you pay for applies in spades here. Particularly if you're a bass player. The cheap stuff has issues reproducing the low notes.
Very useful. Westworld🎉
ОтветитьI gave up oin westworld, but I haven't given up on winning your give away!!
ОтветитьThe boo Westworld is better than the the TV show!
ОтветитьThanks for another great video. Westworld
ОтветитьGreat stuff as always
ОтветитьI saw the original Westworld movie (from the 70's) when I was a little kid and it scared the crap out of me. The tv series is fantastic, especially season 1.
I'm in the middle of re-doing my IEM rack because I HAD to jump on the big Behringer sale. My x32 rack just came in yesterday and my s16 will be arriving this morning. There are SO many costs that I didn't think about when starting this last year with the Midas mr18 and while I'm not completely back to the start, I'm pretty close. Because the x32 is a deeper unit space wise, it won't fit in my current shallow rack. Also, I'm gonna need to add two more of the ART 3-way splitter units and another fanned snake. I've decided I'm gonna build a separate rack with the splitters and fanned snakes since we only do gigs where a split is need about 1/3 of the time. No need to make the main IEM rack so big and bulky, we can just bring the splitter rack when needed.
We are set up for stereo. The reason being is that it sounds so much better to us. Being able to pan things like the drum overheads, the two or three guitars, vocals, and stereo effects makes for a pretty awesome experience. That said, I had no idea that I'd need a combiner until watching this vid. So there's another cost I gotta figure in. It never ends LOL! I figure it'll right around the whole thing gets "done" and I'll be ready to retire from gigging LOL. Thanks for the videos, I really, really appreciate them.
Enjoyed the 1st season of Westworld!
ОтветитьGreat explanation Scott. Westworld.
ОтветитьI missed how to enter😢. Oh well. My band is finally doing splitter snake. We use my X18 Air. 3 piece band. I need to upgrade my old Nady PEM 800. I only have 6 channels that are legal. It is hard to switch channels. You need tiny screw driver and a slightly bigger one for the transmitter. We use one other budget in ear. The drummer uses wired. I am curious about the new Behringer UHF system . Seems similar to Phenix Pro. We only use 8 channels. Works good so far.
ОтветитьI feel like I got lost after season one of Westworld.
ОтветитьLove all the Westworld Seasons.
ОтветитьGreat explanation and videos again.
ОтветитьHey Scott, love your content and love that you're getting more subscribers. You're putting out such good information for musicians at all levels in the game. I remember watching one of your videos in the past talking about using a Bluetooth connection for your click and guide with some of your shows. I can't seem to find that video as you've kicked out a bunch of great content now! My band uses just a click for our in-ears and run a wired option but lately, we've had to set our rig a little farther away than the cable can reach and rather than just getting a longer cable, I was hoping to run Bluetooth since it's just a simple click out. Do you have a recommendation for something I could plug into the back of our X32 Rack to wirelessly run that click from my phone? There are several out there but I get nervous buying something that someone hasn't had success with in the past. Thanks in advance!
ОтветитьIn Westworld is better to use iem system definitely.
ОтветитьWireless is as big a factor in price as mono vs stereo
ОтветитьThank you very much for your videos, they have been very helpful. Greetings from Chile
ОтветитьOnly made a few episodes in on S2 of Westworld. Maybe one day.
ОтветитьI'm in an A capella group, and we are a group of 6 people. Is stereo better, and what kind of IEM system can you recommend that is budget friendly? Thank you so much!! Much love from the Philippines ❤
ОтветитьI've been watching your videos. Your content helped me a lot since I am still a newbie in these kinds of things. I wanna watch Westworld, too!! ❤
ОтветитьI always appreciate the concise yet straight to the point explanations that you do for audio. it's a big help because not all of us are an expert in these things.
I currently have a vocal effects processor that only outputs 24 volt always on phantom power. how would this affect the SM7DB? would there be any significant changes to the tonality or SPL?
alternatively, how would the 24 volt phantom power affect a dynamite or fethead? a response or video from you would be awesome
stay healthy and cheers from a blind subscriber in the Philippines.

Dude! This helped a lot with the behringer which at the time of my comment is back ordered ! My New current learning setup is: laptop/ usb from behringer x32 rack/IEM and amps into behringer local outputs.
Where I’m stuck is getting each instruments input to go into a specific output. Each output has its own prerecorded mix but can only get audio from the DAW/usb and its designated output. As a back up to hear both backtracks and each instrument through a Y splitter but would like to eliminate them. Any tips?
That’s Scott! These videos have been a huge help on My band. Enjoy watching Westworld!
ОтветитьIf you have a Behringer mixer, don't discount using a P16m as an easy stereo system for a drummer or KB player.
ОтветитьI’m very interested in the Westworld system.
Ответитьgreat overview, we're a 4 piece band using Stereo IEMs using the XR18:
we have the 6 Aux as 3 stereo feeds to wireless units and then we're using a Behringer Powerplay 16 connected via intranet for our drummer who plays wired, it works out great as he prefers having quick physical control over his mix along with the limiters etc..
and the change from mono to stereo IEM mixes was a huge upgrade
thanks just what i was looking for
ОтветитьGreat stuff and useful video as always! WESTWORLD!
ОтветитьReplay!!! Thank You Scott for another thorough information on monitor systems!
ОтветитьIs i possible an could it make sense to have some band members on stereo mix and others on mono? - eg. vocalists having stereo but the rest have mono?
ОтветитьSo i am totally confused. If you are running trax for say a solo gig and want to have a click in ears, but not go to house, can this be achieved with mono IEM, such as Xvive?
ОтветитьWestworld!
ОтветитьHi Scott, my band is looking for in ear monitors. we sing a cappella and we wonder what to get, what brand, we are 4 people and still the budget is important, can you recommend something
Ответитьdo you have any opinion on Mipro wifi 5.8 based wireless in ears? they have 20-23hz response. Would be interested if you'd do a review.
ОтветитьYou always make the best videos. Whenever im looking for a piece of equipment you always have a top notch video on it and I appreciate it very much
ОтветитьThanks you’re the best this is the video I was looking now I can setup ear-monitors
ОтветитьOkay, so I use the XR18, you can get 4 stereo mixes. But I am curious if you get another one of you use the headphone out?
ОтветитьNever seen Westworld but Scott your contents are great!
ОтветитьI’m late for the giveaway but where are you rewatching Westworld at? I haven’t been able to find it after HBO removed it from MAX
ОтветитьWestworld. Great video on IEM. Super helpful.
ОтветитьStereo is awesome! Spiral Cell is a cool band name!
ОтветитьScott, does your mixer allow for a separate EQ for the aux sends vs the mains?
ОтветитьGood vid. Thanks! Westworld
Ответить@ScottUhl Quick question...Will an antenna combiner work with different brand IEM systems? In my band, I have the Sennheiser, one guy has the Shure, and another has the Audio Technica. Will those be compatible with one combiner? As always, thank you for the info.
ОтветитьThe behringer can run p16 and that gives you alot more options
ОтветитьI don’t do stereo personal instrument too many auxes required=expensive . I use behringer power play ha 6000 to mix overall stereo mix blended with mono summed aux for personal instrument.
ОтветитьOver 320 people entered, and the winner is: @gerardkoot Congrats! Thank you everyone who entered. As some people also pointed out, another great way to save money on IEMs is with different band members SHARING a mix. So you wouldn't get your own mix, but if you can agree on a mix, you can get the transmitter and a belt pack that is set to the same channel and share a mix. Also a great option! I'm working on a video on "what is the cheapest you can build an IEM setup for." Hope to have that out in the next few months, but have a few other product reviews coming out soon. Cheers, and thanks for watching!
