The difference between Slot and Klopp at Liverpool

Imo klopp was relying on the top players, but didnt really make subsitutes "better"

Slot is doing wonders with gravenberg, gakpo, jones and even jota did great untill injury. Slot brought back prime van dijk, gives youth players the chance. In my opinion slots liverpool is a completer team, but klopp did amazing obviously, and i hope slot can reach what klopp did.

Its early to say, but i think and genuinely believe slot can surpass klopp

I like Slots approach to football but I am a huge Klopp Fan. So I am biased for sure. But I wouldn't hype Slot that much higher than Jürgen. Because last year, Liverpool scored a lot less xG than other teams. Like Man city. And this year, in succession of the EC, there are so many injuries across almost all teams. Except for Liverpool. They still have a really deep squad. I mean, you have to convert it still and Slots more cautious approach is a big plus. Just my two cents

As a supporter of Liverpool I noticed klopp built the team to be the strongest and fastest. It did work most of the time and Liverpool became relevant again in the world however, that method took a lot from the players because they used their body to the limit for a very long period. And now slot comes in, he knows the team is strong and conditioned so what he did he taught the team to control that power. Use a lot of IQ instead of stamina so the team can have more quality performance and stay consistent for many games. Klopp built the team from scratch and slot preserved it and makes it even better. I believe Liverpool is the first "ready made" team that slot took in his career and managed to change it into something uniquely his.

Slot is far better than Klopp. The only manager that gave him problem is Mourinho.

In simple words slot lets his players stay clam and have better judgement on other hand kloop wanted it so fast that even the opponents would be forced to have quick decisions

I too remember when God came to LFC, that was when football was based on attack, no walking the ball, no side to side passing and heaven forbid a player passed the ball 60 yards back to the goalie. Whether we win anything this season, it's best to wait and see, long way to go. As for Slot, he's done nothing yet, let's see where we are in another two seasons.

The difference is he is thriving in a season where Manchester City are playing awful football. Klopp thrived when City was at their peak(s) and won.

I think Liverpool should suffer less injuries under Slott than Klopp and have less burn out and manage games better

Even last season, liverpool were top by christmas. This season, man city have been poor and arsenal have lost momentum as well. So it makes sense that liverpool are top of the league right now. But if Salah, van dijk, and trent leave this summer, it will be a different story next season.

Slot made Feyenoord relevant again in the netherlands.....Ajax and PSV have had the better transfer deals, stadium upgrades and european involvement, so they lined their pockets with 2-5x the money Feyenoord has. Last 5 years Ajax has made 0.5 billion in player sales, Feyenoords team transfer value is just 100M. Just on TV-rights Premier league clubs divide 5 BILLION across 20 teams, feyenoord gets 10 million anually from TV rights!!!! But what Slot left behind at feyenoord was good enough to equalise vs ManC by scoring 3 goals in 15 minutes... even under new coaching.. thats all Slots work and its more proof of how good a manager he is than being succesfull with a great club.

The Klopp era was powered by his incredible ability to create the ultimate underdog team. No matter how bad a situation got, you felt a Klopp team could find some magic. It was crazy and stressful at times, because Klopp made everything emotional and epic.
Trouble was ... when we reached the top of the mountain, the team didn't handle being top dogs very well. Klopp can take teams on the great journey, but struggled to keep them at the final destination. He didn't like being the best ... he liked fighting against the best.
Slot has brought a calmness that I think the fanbase needed ... at least for a little while. He is just a fantastic manager and personality ... and the club deserves huge credit for finding him in the middle of an ocean of average managers.

Only difference man city isnt playing like last season. Giving liverpool and slot the upper hand.

what klopp managed in his final season was so impressive based on the fact he had just implemented an entire new midfield. i think its natural to expect all of the new midfield arrivals from last season to kick on again this term, but, what slot has done with ryan gravenberch and alexis macallister is truly sensational. add to that the rise of curtis jones and the energy of dominik szoboszlai, and you have one of europe's best collective midfields, despite not really looking it on paper.

Yes you are absolutly right. Slot wants to keep tha ball and then attack whereas in klop era (in needed situation) they always play more offensievely which also bacfires by conceding to counter attacks
