Rubbing on a person is showing dominance. So is biting, pushing, stepping on, running down and acting out. These horses will never be welcome anywhere except Her Majesty’s Stable as these behaviors are very hard to un learn.

I didn’t grow up with horses, but this horse is showing affection. my ma’s horse used to do the same thing and rub their head against her coat because they liked the material or showed her love & appreciation.

He makes a great scratching post when he stands still.
