the only wrong thing I see about this product is that it only costs $60. People who would buy it would spend $200 on it + the more it costs the more buyers remorse kicks in. EVGA is missing out

Adding components into the circuit sounds counterproductive to me. No surprises on the results...

I've got a evga 1000 watt psu that has some mad coil whine with higher power cards. Maybe that would help with a situation like that.... Who knows.

hello, are released technical data about Raptor lake (eg DDR5-5600 support) today with Intel 12 gen we reduce to bring the ddr5 to 5600mhz, in your opinion, with 13 gen, how long will we be able to bring them? How much overall improvement (in MHz) will there be with the new Intel CPUs and the new Mobos?

I assume this product would help with the transient load spikes. I've had my <2 yr old 1300w Plat PSU degrade because of the spikes (confirmed via RMA)

I think it has to do with "wear and tear" in the GPU itself. I have an EVGA 3080 ti ftw3 and its crapping out on me. im going to have to RMA the card before it is a year old. It has 3, 8-pin connects and we cant seem to find a hot fix for it.

EVGA have had exactly zero products to buy off their website for years in Europe. Nothing is ever in stock, apart from a few keyboards and a mouse if you're lucky. I've been an EVGA Elite Member for over 2 years and still not managed to bag anything.

Why do they waste their time on utter tripe like this, rather than produce products we actually need? You still can't buy a Z690 mobo and the next Intel is already being benchmarked. I have no idea how this company make money. Just goes to show how much they make off the tiny bit they sell.

So I'll admit this is a pretty good test, but you showed something that totally tears down some of your previous videos talking about max clocks on these cards. That VF curve you used where you pull the 1100mv point way up destroys effective clocks, making it look like your card(s) clock very high. I guess if you're consistent with this, then most of the time it doesn't invalidate the testing, but it's definitely misleading for people comparing what their cards can do that aren't using that method.

So I just purchased the EVGA 3090Ti Hybrid and it comes with a 3 x 8 pin to 1 x 12 pin pigtail. I’ve always heard of using separate PCIe cables, but there’s not an option for that here. Only the pigtail. Any comment?

To be clear, the earlier powerlink devices were all about aesthetics. In your video you claim it contains capacitors but I really don't think it does. EVGA doesn't claim that earlier product helps with power at all. From their website: "The EVGA PowerLink has one primary function: to make your PC look even more awesome." This new powerlink with the capacitors is to help smooth out the spikes. From the new powerlink website page: "The EVGA PowerLink 41s seamlessly connects to your EVGA GeForce RTX 3090 Ti FTW3 while providing maximum stability, improved case airflow, and glows with fully-customizable ARGB LED." So still some aesthetics, but I believe the main goal of the product is to provide capacitors capable of handling the spikey nature of the RTX 3090ti.

other than having custom individually sleeved cables to be directly connected rather than use their 12 pin to 24 pin cable it's useless. Cash grab for sure.

It looks like you doubled up on a couple of the 8 Pin PCIE connections? I am pretty sure this is intended for 4 separate connections to the PSU. It might be worth running the same series with that configuration.

Ответить
@m.y.3625
@m.y.3625 - 21.09.2022 03:44

I am actually considering this as I am running a custom loop and I guess this gives you 675W TDP(150W x4 from 4x8pins and 65W from PCIE), and I guess this is where this make sense as it is at least better than some random 16pin to 4x8 pin as no major manufacturers make any 4x8pin transfers

EVGA must be laughing hard as people gotta worry about melting 16pin cables. This does look goofy but at least power cables ain't melting or a fire hazard.

@jsizzle2k6

if it would of redirected the 8 pins to the back it would be worth it just for the looks part of it.. then put the rgb on the front ( for vertical users) problem with the 12 pin is u cant bend them much and being at the end of the card it just makes the card overall length too much to fit into a lot of cases.

October 25, 2022, the 16 pin plugs are getting reported being burned, or melting if the cables are bent and theoretically coming loose on any side that's bent. This is a great solution to solve this problem now.
