Swapping back to wall toilet fault bathroom toilet

I'm swapping a back to wall pan tomorrow but it's built in, tiled, and tipped with stone and removing the stone will spoil the new bathroom.
I'm told I can remove the pan without turning off the water as long as I don't hit the flush as the water will be held in the cistern and the pipe will be empty. I don't intend to remove the flush pipe like you did, just unclip it and put new pan in. Does that sound right to you? Thanks x

There are some other videos where you don’t need to talks the toilet off and just swap the flush pipe with the rubber washer . Is this pan taken off just to replace the flush pipe ?that’s a lot of work as I’m planning to change my flush pipe which is cut a bit short by my plumber when first installed.

I have one if these types of toilets, the toilet just continues to flush water constantly, I’m assuming the cistern is knackered is it easy to find a replacement cistern and fit it easily? Mine has a big flush button in the middle

Mine leaks. Winds me up. Had the plumber out twice and even replaced the whole toilet under warranty. Bugger still leaks all over the floor.
