The Secret's OUT - On Foot In The Accursed Mountains, KOSOVO

This short journey you find me passing right through the Rugova Canyon (also named Rugova Valley) in Kosovo. I brave a via Ferrata before hunkering down in the 5 hotel Dukagjini out of a complete full day downpour. All these events came after a terrible flood and my thoughts and prayers go out to those families and friends affected by such incidents.

The terrain is quite dramatic and what impressed me most were the low prices and kind locals.

I decided to focus on not just the countryside but somewhere quite upscale to give you a true representation of what the region offers. The city of Peja seems eager to keep traditions whilst keeping up with the times by opening its doors to tourism.
