was just reading 'the manufacturer and builder' journal vol 1 1869 (on hathi trust website - pub domain) and saw dwarfs mentioned in the contents.Says the old Scandinavians considered crystals found in caves to be petrified dwarfs - spirits of the lower world turned to stone upon exposure to lights (like vampires?) and to the eye of man. Apparently the word quartz is a modification of the old word meaning dwarf in the Teutonic languages.
I also recently came across a story of dwarf races in Ireland and Scottish Isles (inc Shetland) - naturally led me to think were the Shetland ponies bred to that size so dwarfs could ride them (amongst other reasons).

Green skin... reminds me of the green children of Woolpit. If copper replaced iron on red blood cells would they be green blood cells?

I live in Winnipeg. The public is allowed to visit the building Monday through Friday during normal business hours. The building is probably one of the most stunning architectural pieces I have ever seen inside and out. You didn't mention the Golden Boy on top though. The messenger of the Gods... The building is also rumored to be built in the center of North America which is why there is the pool of the Black Star in the basement...
