Oh the irony of a Bedford CF helping to recover a Transit.  Another reason why Transits were so popular as getaway vehicles was that, if you didn't want to steal one (dead easy with a stout flat-blade screwdriver) you could pick up an old Transit at auction in the 70s and 80s for a few hundred quid and there was no check on identity so it would be virtually untraceable...
