One of my favorite for spring (April -May) of the 1985 bring back good memories.
ОтветитьLove this great song! Thanks for posting!!
ОтветитьThe Girls hit #8 in Billboard, 9-6-86. Love the soprano voices, especially. God bless y'all, girls! Thanx, Jack, for postin' it. Have a blessed week!
ОтветитьGreat group! Sorry they broke up so soon!
ОтветитьA Fav group of mine in the 80's. Too bad they never got a break with MTM records and then MTM folded. Love this album!
"Baby I Want it!" was a great song also.
...Does anyone here know who the writer of this was ?
ОтветитьWow! Wonderful blast from the past! :) Used to love this song! I have to admit the thing that brought it to my mind was I ordered a dress online and it is mistakably coming from China....of course I immediately said On the slow boat from China.....LOL
ОтветитьGreat to hear this song once again!
Ответитьoh my. havent heard this in forever! Thanks for posting!
ОтветитьGreat song thank you for posting this great song.
ОтветитьI’ve been looking for this song for years. Love it .
ОтветитьHas anyone ever found the original video that was on CMTV way back in the day? It's got such a special meaning and memory of my twin Daughters.
ОтветитьI wish someone would post the whole album. There are songs on there that weren't released on radio that I like too.
Ответитьwhen I was young this came on the radio, I was driving and singing and beeping my horn and weaving the car in my lane. I got pulled over!!! I told the officer I was driving erratically because I love this song so much!!!! I remember that he looked at me like I was an idiot!!!! LOLOLOL!!!
ОтветитьOh, this song takes me way back. Back to times that were awesome and the music was music.
ОтветитьThis song screams mid-80s! The memories!! Thanks so much for posting!!
ОтветитьPut the big guy and his cronies ya think 🤔
ОтветитьThis is a great song where are the at now ?
ОтветитьI haven't heard this song in ages! And does it ever bring back memories! I was 17 years old, and a senior in high school when this song was released in May of 1986, and I turned 18 and started college that August.
This song has a fun and catchy melody, even though it's a breakup song. It should have been a #1 hit song, in my opinion. There were some great country songs on the radio back in the 80's, and this is one of them.
Shanghai. What is the reason we use the word "Shanghai" to mean kidnapping a man for ships's crew? It's because British sailors so treated were likely to find themselves shipped out on long voyage to a distance port-and since Shanghai was on the other side of the world they used the name of this port to represent any distance place.
ОтветитьMy band opened for the Girls Next Door in Greensboro in 1986!
ОтветитьI had a cassette of this song when new. Their voices and harmony sound like 1940s style. I wonder what happened to them.
ОтветитьThey were the originlbof the Girl groups that would follow.
ОтветитьI've been looking for anything from The Girls Next Door for a long time. Thanks for posting this. Sure brings back memories of when singers actually had talent
ОтветитьLove this and them!! Helped build my confidence to divorce my cruel ex.
ОтветитьI was born in 1978. This classic song was recorded and released by the very pretty and very talented singers, The Girls Next Door in 1986 when I was two months and three weeks from turning 8. I bought this record in 1986 and the cassette tape and then CD. I always loved this song! The first time I heard and saw the video, I loved it. Thank you for posting and sharing this classic song!
ОтветитьWow this song brings back memories the eighties the best decade for music ❤
ОтветитьLove It
ОтветитьAmazing Orchestrations! Amazing Recording! Amazing Song! Amazing Vocalizations!
