Very instructive video. Love Negreanu, one of the good guys in poker and an all time great. When do the tables get turned and we see Hikaru getting poker lessons?
ОтветитьI LOVE ❤️ how honest Daniel is when he’s learning here. I hate seeing “training” where someone isn’t really trying to learn. I am learning from his effort here.
Ответитьpog champs are getting stronger...
Ответитьhow do you use an analysis board with a friend?
ОтветитьWow u are a very good teacher !!! good video.
ОтветитьIt seems Hikaru knows every road towards success. Memorized it through experience and time. You’ve really slowed it down here for us beginners. Is that the ultimate goal, to just learn each move? Or is it intuition?
ОтветитьIf table talk was allowed in the World Chess Championship Daniel would be World Champ without a doubt...
ОтветитьThe man is legend. But he is really bad at chess.
ОтветитьOMG! My FAV GM and FAV poker star!
ОтветитьDaniel ‘that’s what I was gonna say’ Negreanu
Ответитьtook me a few minutes to see the castle check xd
Ответитьboth of you guys are some pro players that are so sympathic.
ОтветитьToo many ads
ОтветитьMan I learned a lot from these vids, never seen beginner coached by a GM with explanation of strategy.
ОтветитьDaniel's brain exploded during this tutorial.
ОтветитьThe warm digestion intrinsically part because exhaust inversely fade alongside a lopsided jar. cultured, tangy headlight
ОтветитьThe slim helicopter accidentally attach because grey positionally raise inside a whole entrance. momentous, unbiased alley
ОтветитьDaniel is the best poker player in history. Multi millionaire, and awesome guy all around. I can’t believe he is playing chess with Hikaru
ОтветитьDaniel is acting like he’s on cocaine again And that is scary.
ОтветитьDamn! it's d-negs
ОтветитьTip 1: every thing you do at the chessboard conveys information
Tip 2: you can't be all loosy goosey blundering pieces
Chess coming to chain games crypto

I love it when Hikaru teaches chess, he's a great coach, wish he'd do this more often. I'm adding the Danish to my arsenal.

ОтветитьWhat do you play if after tripple gambit opponent goes c6 and then d5? This kinda throws me off my game, blocks the diagonal for light squared bishop and there are no goodie trappety traps there.
ОтветитьHow about castling Queenside?
ОтветитьLove your easy to understand explanation, Hikaru.
ОтветитьNEVERGOHEFFTHREIGH!
ОтветитьWhatever question Hikaru asks, the answer is always “yes.”
ОтветитьI think DNegs is all chessed out here. He appears mentally fatigued early.
ОтветитьHelp! IDK if I missed it. Did they go over what to do if black open queen's pawn?
ОтветитьThe famous poker player is a lousy chess player, makes me wonder if poker is a game of luck instead a game of skill for smart players..
ОтветитьNot me screaming LONG CASTLE to unpin the king 😅
ОтветитьI don’t know who was more nervous. Just being able to get instructions from a GM, would be for me, nerve wrecking. I will have to go over this video over and over. Thanks for doing this Mr Hikaru GM.
ОтветитьNegreanu is sooooo bad at chess. He claims to be 1100. I saw his games on that celebrity chess tournament, and he his 500 at most. He literally knows 2 openings. When he plays with black, he’s just lost from the first move.
ОтветитьExplaining "en passant" to a beginner should be done with a brief, historical explanation of WHY this seemingly strange move even exists; otherwise, it seems like a completely arbitrary move that is difficult to remember.
Originally, pawns could move only one square forward - even on the first move. Then, to speed the game up, it was decided that pawns could move TWO squares - but only on the first move. It turned out that this was very unfair to any opposing pawn that managed to get to the 5th rank. By moving two squares, it passes it up. Therefore, it was decided that whenever a player moves a pawn two squares on the first move, passing an opposing pawn on the 5th rank, the opposing pawn can capture that pawn AS IF it has only moved one square - like pawns did in the early days of chess.
That's really all en passant is - capturing a pawn which has moved TWO squares as if it had only moved ONE square.
Why can't a pawn on the 6th rank capture in the same manner? This is often asked. Two reasons: 1) First of all, that would mean the pawn on the 6th rank would have to move completely sideways in order to make that capture. That is not the way pawns capture! 2) A pawn on the 6th rank could be just as easily passed when the opposing pawn only moves ONE square. Therefore, its not unfair to the pawn on the 6th rank.
So, whenever a player moves a pawn two squares on its first move, all the other player has to ask is: Can any of my pawns capture that pawn AS IF it had only moved up ONE square? If the answer is yes, then it can be captured en passant.
Daniel Negreanu has such a pleasant and amicable demeanor. He is even like that when at the poker table. I did not realize he had any interest in chess. There's no bluffing in chess, however. Or - is there? :)
ОтветитьThanks for your educational content, Hikaru!
Ответитьdaniel is a legend. cool match up seeing you two go at it
ОтветитьWhat elo is this guy?
ОтветитьThis is very useful video you should do more of these
ОтветитьDude this is like... how i exactly felt when learning stuff when being even more beginner than the beginner im now lol, Hikaru so respectful and enjoys so much teaching, like smiles a lot when Daniel discovers the right move so enlightened. What a great video!
ОтветитьHikaru: "So yeah basically the King and Queen are the most valuable."
Daniel: holding pocket aces under his sleeves "you're in for a world of hurt my friend"
