The future of Battlefront doesn't look good...

Wish i could play the reboot again. But every since the switch to the EA app, it just launches into a black screen with a white bar. Smfh

Dead on pc for sure, but incredibly not dead on ps5 and switch. Lots of full lobbies on both and very few glitches online

If there is any good news in light of this: it’s that this poor mishandling of the franchise has caused more players to become aware of the superior modded versions in the PC platform.

Then there’s also the possibility that someday in the future, an indie developer could create their own franchise that has battlefront inspired gameplay that could take place in some other fandom like an alternate world history event or even something similar like Lord of the Rings Conquest. Personally, I’d like to see a WH40K version that has the Imperial Guardsmen as a playable faction.

The classic collection is just fucking insulting. Even after the first patch, they still kept the boring aerial font for the entire game, the local multiplayer is still limited to 2 players, and the sniper crosshair still doesn't appear outside of the scoped mode.

The worst part for me is that the game requires 33 gigabytes of storage to even download, which is more than the internal storage of a Nintendo switch. They didn't even have the decency to optimize the game for platforms besides PC, they clearly just ported the game and figured 33 gigabytes was reasonable. The largest game on my switch is only 10 gigabytes, and that's enough to fit a whole animal crossing island. 33 gigabytes is fucking absurd.

EA is doing none of that my guy. At this point, I'm just waiting on more mods and the custom modded servers for Star Wars Battlefront 2 (2017). That will keep me sated for now.

I hope this collection has a battlefront 2 EA situation, aspyr can at least dig themselves out of this whole their in by fixing stuff and just slowly but surely continuing progressing of making this game better. I bought this on switch and honestly besides a couple of things i've been having fun with the game. It's not the greatest port and especially since it's aspyr i expected very little effort sadly after how much they screwed up jedi knight 2 but i had my fair share of fun with that game. And same here tbh. So i just hope that we'll get some improvement in the coming months. People still had hope in BF2 2017 even with the micro transaction stuff, i'd say if they can aspyr can at least prove themselves.

The first and so far only match of the collection I played was plagued with by some of the worst hit detection, worst latency and just animation errors. I have seen since days of old on the Xbox 360. I'm talking back in the day when the host migrations were constant and stuff like who was the party leader effected who could join the lobby, levels of scuffed.

It's pathetic and somehow they even managed to screw up single player! Certain cutscenes just don't exist in this collection. How can you even do that!?

I got the switch version which far from perfect is still fun but I hope they can actually improve it

On the bright side EA Battlefront 2 is pretty fun I only play coop but if I’m lucky I’ll find a game or get my friends together for that

At this point and time everybody who is reading this comment right now really should lay off the f***ing nostalgia trend because it's already dead on arrival thanks to these companies and scalpers and scammer's who are already giving us regret of not supporting and liking and buying these games sooner rather than later by charging us a freaking arm and leg for these classic and modern games. So support modern gaming for god sake because you already have no choice. and stop playing these games online and just play them offline.

the single player campaign is fun, i played online last night and the hit detection needs to be improved, i think it will be great to play in about a week or 2 after patches

Fun fact: The thumbnail is a little secret code to make all units to be short, like an ewok in Battlefront 1 Classic.

You can still enter "Jub Jub" in the Classic Collection version of Battlefront 1.

i love your videos but all these negative thumbnails annoy me the game is mostly working fine right now and its multiplayer mod ability is great yes it wasnt launched correctly and may of lied about the mod but its still got great potential but vids like this hurt that id love to play mod multiplayer with my friends but they see the reviews and bad pr and dont wanna touch it now

Eh I have the orginal downloads of the orginal battlefronts which are still a million times better than ea trash. I like the new ea (I refuse to call them a reboot) battlefront 2 but still it a poor imitation at best. Never will it be on the same level. Heck the space battles are trash. Heroes are fun but clunky and trash. The maps are again trash. How can you call ea battlefront 2 a better game. when 2005 stars battlefront 2 is the the best star wars game of all time.

I mean...I can't stand the EA Battlefront. It's just Battlefield with a Star Wars Reskin. I just went back to the original classic games. With the Battlefront Remaster Project, Battlefront Anakins Remastered and Shader Patch and it's basically Battlefront 3. The mods keep it alive. The lack of Galactic Conquest (my all time favorite mode and pretty much the only reason I play Battlefront) not being in EA's Battlefront is why I'll never enjoy it.

You can't even set up a party/squad system in Battlefront Classic Collection so I can't play with my friends FUCK!

Just buy “Star Wars Battlefront (classic, 2004)” and “Star Wars Battlefront 2 (Classic, 2005)” which combined is around 20 dollars alea akf on sale for both games, only loss is Hero mode is confined to Mos Esiley, 4 or 5 maps that were added in the remaster, and slightly worse graphics along with the old resolution glitch alongside the loss of split screen co-op for the conquest mode which if you want that, just buy the old console version if you still got a Xbox 360 or PS2/3

So if they used mods, why not have mod support like fallout 4 on Xbox and PC?

They should add free content updates at this point with all the ripping off ASSpyer has been doing and also the fact that they stole money by not refunding it to the people who pre ordered the canceled kotor 2 DLC.

I doubt theyee gonna make a battlefront 3 theyre trying to make the next Battlefield after 2042 flopped this hard. It’s confirmed that games support is done. And the new Battlefield fails DICE will never be allowed to make a battlefront. Let alone EA renewing the licenses
