Welcome to the sha'boing-boing showdown.
Ответить2nd hot dog video in my feed in 24 hours and neither has Vienna Beef. You and Epicurious are clowns lol.
ОтветитьNathan's or Hebrew National. The only hot dogs I eat
ОтветитьSurprised they didn't give you standard size Kirklands because the blue bag food court size really gives itself away.
I would have added Berks hotdogs to the contest. We served 10/1 packs out of our cart.
Also add Bar S for an absolute bottom tier mystery meat dog.
Why boil the hot dogs? Why not fry them as intended? 🤔
ОтветитьAs far as I know, costco hot dogs are made in either 1 of 2 places depending on sourcing. California, or Illinois.
Chicago knows its hot dogs, so I'm really glad Costo knocks it out of the park.
Get your mouth around a Vienna Beef hot dog, though. Just do it.
That white hot looks like a brat, which you'd never, ever just par boil. A LOT of the great flavor with natural casing sausages comes from the grilling/searing. I'm from Wisconsin where we consume a lot of brats, and I would back hand you if you ever handed me a brat that was only par boiled. It's an offense we won't stand for here in Wisconsin!
ОтветитьAs far as what I wanna see you do next, definitely take the Costco dogs and make them using different methods.
- Boiled (the control)
- Grilled
- Air-fried
- Microwaved
- Sous-vide
- Steamed
- slow-cooked
For part 2, come a little ways south and check out Pennsylvania's selection. Hatfield, Berks, Kunzler... Pennsylvanians love their tube-shaped meat products.
ОтветитьIf you did a blind taste test where you didn’t change the answer after seeing the brand I don’t know what I’d do with myself lol. It just wouldn’t feel right.
ОтветитьYou left out Vienna Beef hot dogs. This is practically the official hot dog of Chicago. At least 90% of the hot dog stands in Chicago use Vienna Beef. For me this is the best beef frank for Chicago hot dogs. Cooked in hot water then put on a steamed S. Rosen - Mary Ann poppyseed bun, with mustard, relish, diced tomatoes, diced onions, celery salt, sport peppers and a pickle spear (No ketchup!). Great snap and flavor. A meal onto itself!
ОтветитьAs a hotdog connoisseur you gotta put these thangs in either a george foreman grill or a panini press.
ОтветитьWhen you do these comparisons please show the winners in a list
ОтветитьMissed Sugardale hotdogs, and missed the flavored hot dogs or ones with cheese too.
ОтветитьBoiled hot dogs are for Blue Dogs. Boiled hot dog in a buttered roll and chunky blue cheese dressing laced over it.
ОтветитьYou need to do Kayem Natural casing also red Hot Dogs
ОтветитьSahlen's are the best. Grew up on them in WNY. They are now available at Publix Super markets in the Southeast. Here in Lakeland, FL. Their beef hot dogs are great for making Ruben Dogs.
ОтветитьWhere is your paper plate?
ОтветитьMissing Weber's yellow horseradish mustard, hunts ketchup, diced white onion & sweet pickle relish!
ОтветитьMen under 18 or over 35 should not consume more than 2 hot dogs per month because they are high in nitrates and could bring on Lukemia.
ОтветитьThumann’s and Sabrett are the best you can get in NJ/NY/PA, as far as national brands go you can’t go wrong with Nathan‘s or Hebrew National. Never tried Dietz and Watson or Boars Head but I imagine they’re comparable to Thumann’s being a deli brand and all.
ОтветитьI gotta say, the Oscar Mayer Chicken/Pork/Turkey wieners are the single most disgusting tasting 'Hot Dogs' in existence aside from random store brand. If you gave them a 7, then every other dog on the list should rate higher, or your taste buds have been ruined and I'm unsubscribing, lol.
Oscar Mayer Uncured Beef Franks on the other hand, are the best.
Ketchup invalidates the whole exercise.
ОтветитьYou forgot Vienna from chicago.
ОтветитьKetchup makes them all terrible, sorry, but it just does. Anyway, they all taste better at a ball game.
ОтветитьContent lately has been great but its also a recession indicator. I'm saying this as someone who had 3 chili dogs for dinner.
ОтветитьWhats up with everyone making hotdog vids
ОтветитьKirkland video please
ОтветитьKing Glizzy
ОтветитьSteamed dog is the best all season cooking method.
Ответитьbabish, babs… i’m starting to get concerned for your health. 😂
ОтветитьNo Vienna beef?
ОтветитьBurger tier list next?
ОтветитьPearl Kountry Klub's are the best in the world!!!! ....and you used ketchup on a dog....
ОтветитьWhen I get hot dogs I always go for Nathan’s if I have to be cheap or Hebrew national if I can spend a little more
ОтветитьRed Snapper from Maine is the best.
ОтветитьYou're from rochester and no sahlens dog on this list 🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️
ОтветитьNo red hot dogs?
ОтветитьBabs is getting Mr. Beastified
ОтветитьHe tasted lemon. Thats what’s I learned from this
ОтветитьNathan's Famous warmed his cockles. I love having my cockles warmed!
ОтветитьNo Tetons?? Rigged
ОтветитьKIRKLAND VIDEOOO
ОтветитьKirkland might be hard to do since a lot of them are packaged for Kirkland and not made by Kirkland. I'd rank the food court items if you could get some of the wider selections.
ОтветитьNo Sahlen's? How dare you... But, you right. White hots are the goat.
ОтветитьI used to be able to get Casper Hotdogs and they was one of the best I ever had.
Have not seen them in my part of the US, but can see they are still around in Calif.
Give them a try.
i see that GMT
ОтветитьKoegel Viennas were not on your list...Which is a shame because they would have won. The reason why you prob never heard of Koegel Hotdogs is because its a tiny meat packing plant in Michigan and you usually dont see Koegels outside of MI...BUT you can order them online just search Koegels and it should pop up...Trust me best hotodogs on the planet. Ask anybody who has ever had them you will get the same response. Once you have had them you will never want to eat another brand hotdog ever.
ОтветитьBabbish is in VA? Wild.
