If we went back in time and had a Samurai warrior from the Japanese empire between 1100 AD to 1800 AD and put Jon Jones in front of them they would have seen him as the dishonorable coward he is and ran him through. DJ on the other hand would have been seen as an both above comparison in skill and honor. Mighty mouse is up there as one of the most entertaining fighters to watch and definetly is my featherweight goat, the human highlight reel with that chefs kiss on technique. GSP, Khabib, and Silva will always be the goats of the sport to me because of other factors. Main one being Lightweight, Welterweight and Middleweight are the toughest divisions because they have the avg man sizes in those classes and just naturally have the larger pools of fighters. Middle to me being the toughest to achieve, because they also got a lot more power in that division, its much harder to carry yourself on a strong chin. The thing with GSP that always blew my mind was I don't think he really had much of a chin. What he was able to do as a guy that could get knocked out easier than many at that level was his most impressive quality.

He fought at heavyweight because there were no money fights in his actual weight class for a while. So for him, fighting Alex makes sense since Alex's natural weight class is closer to JJ and let's face it, the PPV numbers and money that can be paid would be astronomical. Also, if JJ fights Aspinal and wins, what changes for him ... nothing. So the risk reward ratio just doesn't match from a business perspective. He'd make more money losing weight and fighting both Alex and then fighting Izzy at a catch weight
