I overclocked mine to 1170MHz and it's a decent card for the right price. The backplate definitely helps carry away from heat from the VRMs are it's coupled through the board and does get fairly warm thanks to it.

I gotta say this card is amazing, I bought it off for roughly 200$ (way too high taxes in my country 25%).. Keepin it cool with side fan blowing directly on it... I clocked it by 9% Core clock and 75mhz memory clock givin me nice and stable boost 5-10 fps., Temps are around 70c while gaming Witcher 3 with avg FPS being around 60-65 FPS (Using FreeSync with Samsung Curved 27" Monitor @73Hz)

so does the R9 380x still worth it? i can get it NEW for the same $$$ than a GTX 1050 ti/ GTX 960, which one would you recommend?

would i be better off buying a 380x for $189 or spend extra ($215)for 1060 3gb? or obviously a 970 @ $205.

I love my 380x and I got it for $200 on newegg so I am happy

I just made a budget 1080p computer for my fiance, and i picked this up from newegg for 170 dollars. which I thought was a steal, but I also am pairing it with a cheap fx 6350, and I am hoping that the performance is there.

My XFX 380X didnt come with a back plate.

Ive got this exact card and on bf4 ultra preset i get 40fps... Is it the cpu that i have thats causing it, i have an AMD A10-6800k 4.1 ghz black edition. I also have no overclocking on anything in my PC

Would a x4 880k bottleneck the 380X if so what card would give the best performance without bottlenecking?

I wonder , if this cards can be made to use a single slot. they keep getting bigger and bigger.
I'm sure there has to be a metal alloy that efficiently cools down with air , it doesn't have to be that big.

the question is if it is too expensive to industrialize.

and i want to know how much power i need cuz i got 750 80+ idk meaby i did something wrong pls help me out
and i have 7 fans on my pc and wen im playing the ligths of the fans go down a little but if i put 4 fans is going great

Bought 380x and im honestly extra happy,. increased core clock +120 mhz and mem clock by 150 without touching voltage and power limit.,gets me around 5-10 fps increase., It's always under 70 degrees celsius.., Custom fan speed is ALWAYS on 50% and scales up 3 % per 1 degree after 70 degrees :)

You can't even hear fans on 50% at all,. i can hear them once they are on 60% tho..

can't decide between the 380x or the 390 nitro thoughts.....?? anyone?? x_x

still running my 270x at 1200mhz core clock and 1550mhz memory clock which will hopefully be replaced with a 1080 cause 2gb of vram just gets eaten by everything

The MSI 380 thats white and black doesn't have a back plate otherwise I would have went for it. Instead im on the fence about the r9 380x gigabyte version and others atm. Jay a quick question but I'm curious with all tech type channels. But do you guys get to keep everything these guys send you? Like i.e do you get to keep all three nitro cards for reviewing them? Or do you send them back? I see a lot of cards behind u just as a prop so i tend to think u get to keep em. If so give us one haha.. Oh yea i purchased a new power color r9 390. I based my purchase off of price mainly as the 390 is around the same price as the 970 but has an extra 4 gigs of vram and performs better from the benchmarks Ive seen. Also i read thru the reviews and believe it or not power color is apparently making some nice r9 390s, almost all the clients was happy with the purchase.

Is the Sapphire Nitro 380x really worth getting? I'm in need of a new computer rather fast and on amazon it says it will take about 1 - 2 days to process before it ships... Is it worth the wait on should I just get a R9 380 instead?

Edit: I play games like GW2 and The Sims 4 and want to play at least Sims 4 on ultra settings at 1080P 60FPS. I do play GTA sometimes but doesn't have to be on ultra.

Actually since I already have an MSI GTX 970 and hypothetically if I had $500 I would get the new GTX 1070. If I only had $400 I would get the R9 390.
