ОтветитьNeeded a story somehow...
ОтветитьJK Rowling always introduced new magical concepts throughout her books but never really thought it through...The glaring plot holes! That's why George RR Martin always said that you have to be incredibly careful when introducing magic in your fantasy writing.
ОтветитьJames left his wand in the living room when he rushed out to face Voldemort and Lily didnt have her wand with her and since you need a wand for Apparition they couldnt. Question answered in 30 second.
ОтветитьI think those who are protected by the charm and anyone the caster desire could be allowed to apparate there. My theory is that Voldemort casted his own anti apparation jinx on the Potter's house in order to prevent them from getting away. Dumbledore who rivals Voldemorts in magical talent and skill also did this against death eaters at ministry battle too. It could also simply be that they couldn't do wandless apparition, but Voldemort could've casted the spell regardless.
Ответитьyeah good point mate why didnt they?
Ответитьyes
ОтветитьWhats this 👃?
ОтветитьSounds like a British Star Wars Theory
ОтветитьPotter cottage
ОтветитьDisapparating takes serious concentration no matter how skilled you are. (Try building a house of card while some robber is breaking into your house). Also they couldn’t risk it with baby harry as a tag-along. Harry wouldve been splinched.
ОтветитьThe same spell placed at Hogwarts was also placed at the Potters home.
Ответить🦁🦁🦁🦁🦁LION takes LIKE Number 87
ОтветитьWow how have I never thought of this!.... Side note, your voice is very calming 😅
Ответить"it's two against one! We can take him!"
Voldemort: "You CAN try."
😂
Because J.K. hadn't thought of it yet.
Ответить👍👍👍
Ответитьwhat about a portkey?
ОтветитьI would just assume they had an antiapparation charm on the house among the many defenses placed on it when they went into hiding.
It’s also worth noting that the idea of the fidelus charm being broken simply shocked them and left them unprepared to act. They never foresaw the betrayal.
Besides all points guven. I also wonder if it was safe to disparate with Harry being a baby.
ОтветитьMy theory is that even if James and Lily could have apparated, they still wouldn't have. As we know from Harry's narration, Apparation is an incredibly painful process, with Dumbledore noting that most vomit the first time they do it. Considering how dangerous it is to learn and that only near adult magi are permitted to learn, it is my belief that Harry, still a toddler at the time, wouldn't have survived being subjected to side-along apparation. At the very least he would have likely required immediate medical care, assuming the trip didn't kill him outright.
ОтветитьSirius was their secret keeper. He have it to Peter but he was who the potters chose, not Peter.
Ответитьmy head cannon is that the act of disapparating is strenuous to adult wizards, but even more dangerous for a young one, let alone an infant.
ОтветитьYes that's the explanation I've heard from several sources.
Ответить*Snape, who was OBSESSED with Lilly."
It wasn't love, it was obsession. I'm getting really tired of people pretending that Snape was some sort of scorned romantic. He was an evil creep. He bullied an innocent child just because he didn't get to sleep with the child's mother. He has zero redeeming qualities and people need to stop giving that behaviour an out.
Why didn’t they make Dumbledore their secret keeper? These Potter folks were thick as bricks
ОтветитьThe potters should have secretly moved out of their home and found a new totally unknown location.
ОтветитьThey could have had a portkey backup escape device plan too
ОтветитьCan you do a what if about what kind of spells, potions and abilities Snape would have developed had he not died? I really think he must have more to his name then 7 spells to begin with, much less how many more he might create with time.
ОтветитьI mean they had fully trusted Sirius as the secret keeper. No way Voldemort could've found the house except Peter's unexpected betrayal. Also, Voldemort just came unannounced. James didn't even have his wand because he just went down the house to look who entered the door.
ОтветитьI was saying the same thing about when the trio apparated in the forest in front of the snatchers, why didn’t they disapparated again because they were close to each other
ОтветитьThere were also places in book 7 where I wondered, why not disapparate? Hermione used a stinging spell to swell up Harry's face. Instead of that, why didn't they disapparate?
ОтветитьYou call that a cottage, I call that a palace.
ОтветитьI
ОтветитьI would like to know if they knew they was being hunted by lord Voldemort why didn’t keep their wands on them at all times
ОтветитьWhat if she stepped aside...?
ОтветитьWhy didnt James sacrifice save Lilly and Harry like Lillys sacrifice saved Harry!?🤔🤨
ОтветитьThis is sad. They had no wands, they couldn't disapparate. Tragic. So so tragic. They made a such mistake. James and Lilly. And they have anti-charm proetction. And no other weapons. So so sad. Thanks for this. Tragic. Great message at the end
Ответить😊🎉🦁
ОтветитьIsn't there something about wizards and witches, not being able to disapperate from places that have been magically protected? Like with Hogwarts, the Cave and so on.
ОтветитьSurprised you didn't mention the biggest reason. Side by side apparation isn't automatic. Harry would have died if Lily had tried to take him with her. It was never a possibility.
ОтветитьWhere would they go?
ОтветитьWRONG!!!
1. apparition can be done at hogwarts. that's how you are taught how to do it.
2. that you can ward against entering a place doesn't means you can't aparate out of that place.
3. you can't apparate INSIDE a fidelius but nobody said nothing about being unable to appare OUTSIDE of the fidelius.
4. apparition is quite easy. you are even taught it at hogwarts. and it's never said to require a wand or incantation.
the potters didn't escape voldemort because Rowling didn't gave two sh*ts about why they wouldn't escape.
to begin with, being without a wand was beyond stupid. same with not having a portkey and/or floo on the ready. they didn't even carry invisibility cloaks with themselves so they could hide. it also looks like dumbledore never told them that voldemort would target harry instead of james/lily.
it seems like james and lily were suicidal and dumbledore was already planning for the greater good.
what's the first lesson Alastor Moody always teaches? CONSTANT VIGILANCE!!!
second lesson: always keep your wand with you.
James and Lily, both aurors, didn't carry their wands knowing a dark lord wanted their only child dead?
WHAT THE F*CK!!!??
'Fly you Fools'. Dumbledore to Luke Skywalker
