The opening shots of the ocean were so amazing on the imax, and paired with this score made for the perfect opening.

Is it just me or do half the pieces of music on this soundtrack have the Part of Your World/Ariel's Voice melody?

she's black now ?.....so is spider man ..... everybody gets a chance i guess....🙄... besides... didn't they already do this like...40 years ago ?....all out of original ideas i guess 😣

Not only are the songs downgraded, but so is the score. Doesn’t have the same magic and grandeur as the original main title theme. Kind of feels…generic

This was so amazing to hear on the imax screen saw the film twice but the water and cinematography for the opening was wow 😳🤩🤩🤩

Very beautiful music!

The live action is doing so well. But original opening always wins. Im not talking about the visual quality because you know the live action is too hyper-realistic but the og have always bring nostalgia vibe and the musical score is astonishing with the godly choir. Also the matching of the cinematography and the background music really made up the atmosphere. But the most is that bang opening with gorgeous sight of kingdom Atlantica that made up of gold and look very shiny. I dont know why the live action depicted it as just a bunch of big corral rocks (which is maybe is more realistic because it's harder to detected by humans). There's almost no merfolks except King Triton's daughters in the live action make it more deserted (maybe they want to saved budget?). I know the concert is removed and they still appear in the last scene but I wish they could bring it up in the opening because it's such a great opportunity to show them. The og opening have always make me tear up.

I think Alan Menken’s musical score has upgraded almost 35 years after the OG classic was released.
