First
ОтветитьI have to point out a couple of glaring errors in your commentary. First is the reference to the Lunar New Year commemorative 50 cent series - these are a 14 sided design and are slightly lighter than any regular 12 sided 50 cent coin, regardless whether a circulating issue or non-circulating collector design. Second is the comment regarding the 1991 Masterpieces in Silver set - while these replicate the circulating designs in size and pattern, silver is heavier (denser, more precisely) than copper-nickel or aluminium-bronze, so the silver 50 cent from that set is 3 grams heavier than the copper-nickel design, and the $1 in that set is 2.5 grams heavier. Vending machines are calibrated based on programmed weights, sizes, magnetic reaction and specific densities of coins, so the Masterpieces in Silver coins would end up in the reject chute. The same happens to 1966 silver 50 cent coins (in the opposite direction - round 50 cents are lighter than the 12 sided version) in coin counting machines at banks - I've found several in the reject chute over the years.
ОтветитьGreat video
ОтветитьWhen I finished this video I was blown away by the fact that it had so few views. This is very high quality on its own, and extremely high quality when you consider the lack of audience. You clearly have a deep love for making videos. I got here from a joji video, but I’m actually much more interested in your other content now. Best wishes!
ОтветитьHey nb. I recently watched the FF video, and I just have to say... your content is extremely underrated. You should get more views, because all your content so far has been amazing. Everything is so informative!
I wish you great luck and prosperity, and keep up the good work! You really do have something amazing here.
What kind of gypsy eastern states shit is that, that would never fly in Perth hahah
Ответить“While they obviously won’t appreciate the present at 0 years old” got me good
Ahaha yes thank you for the clarification
A friend of mine got the round 50 coin in circulation a decade or so back. Was very jealous!
Honestly, I think most people would accept uncirculated coins, simply because they look professional enough. Employees would accept because they're not paid enough to worry about coins, and Shopkeepers would accept because it's a curiousity without a big loss attached.
Great vid! Very informational!
Btw, you have good taste in music, nbduckman! The SNES OSTs were a very pleasant surprise lol
This was a wonderful video. Before I started this video, I (a filthy American) assumed that Australia probably had some coins. By the end of the video, I can confidently say that Australia does, in fact, have coins.
In all seriousness, this was an extremely informative video and I learned a lot. Do you happen to know of a book equivalent to the Renniks book for American coin collecting? If not, that's totally fine. I have been saving some interesting-looking change for a while but have not been able to figure out how to start identifying whether or not I have found anything rare/interesting. Thanks again!
very interesting video! greeting from an argentinian numismatic!
