Man. Maybe I like trying to be a high achiever because I want to honor my maker. Maybe I want to be a high achiever because I like the process of bettering myself, like treating my life sort of like a video game. Maybe I simply want to make my parents proud.
What these happy flowers don't relize is that in life there will always be pain. But you can always chose which of the 2 types fill your life the most: the pain of regret, or the pain of discipline.
You don't have to be a high performer. It is not for everyone. But do not disrespect those who fight to do the best they can with their life, because they are people of incredible willpower, and are certanly more impressive than those who spend their days in laziness and inaction.
