A very helpfull video, but one important notice: he is demonstrating it with a rather brand new system. If you are trying this with a system that has been in use for years, chances are really big that limestone has built up in all sorts of crevices, especially where the parts are supposed to fold but can't anymore because of the limestone, so they WILL crack. So you will end up with replacing the siphon or the floater in whole and those are not cheap. So if your system has been in use for years, and you want to take it apart to clean it as it is leaking, then the advice I got (when helas buying the replacent parts) is to first drain the water, then fill it up with a mixture of water with citron acid and let it soak for at least 24hrs so the limestone gets dissolved, or at least softened. At that is still not a garantee, as "those parts are made to be broken when seized up with limestone, so you will end up with buying the whole replacement part anyway" .

I replaced the flapper seal, put the flush valve back in, had the cistern full up, water wasn’t leaking in to the pan - but after one flush it starts to leak in to the pan. Any ideas?

Love watching your video. Im in Australia - wish I could get some insight into out stupid toilet. We have 4 Villeroy and Boch wall hung toilets in our house.
al work fine except for 1 - which continuously blocks. its disgusting.
Our plumber and builder seem to think its something to do with the 'fall' of the water and that in order to fix we have to rip up the entire bathroom. its a massive cost to do this so for 7 years we have put up with it. We have a plunger next to the toilet (Gross) and if the kids dont plunge the toilet after doing a number 2 - then the whole house stinks. Im seriously about to have a nervous breakdown.

is it a possibility that the plumber has set the water in the sistern at a low level ? is there any way to make the flow stronger and see if it works.... Im praying that this is an option and hoping you can give me some help.

Roger you are a GEM! Just completed our Vitra and it matched your video to a T.
Dead easy and perfect result, I did replace the large silicone disc which I preordered as this was seeping water into the pan

Are the buttons supposed to be kept pushed or only pushed one time and let go in order to flush. Mine was recently installed but I have to keep the buttons pushed because otherwise the water stops flushing the toilet as soon as I let go the button.

What ever happened to those high up cisterns that flush any thing at great velocity, and were easy to service.

Geberit cistern slow filling. Internals pretty much exactly the same as in the video. Took apart, couldn't see anything. Reassembled...filling OK. No idea what the problem was. On the plate behind the button cover was a QR code linking to the Geberit maintenance PDF. This explained a couple of points that differed from the video.

Only just come across your video, it's great, I had no idea you could fix so many problem through the flush button panel. Unfortunately my leak is where the cistern outlet joins the flush pipe into the toilet itself! In order not to completely dismantle the whole thing I've managed to wrap amalgamating tape around the joint so hoping that works! Where could I get a spare flush valve for this model? (I'm in the UK)
