Since Train Sim World 5 with the BR Class 390 Pendolino brought new to the game another safety system, the Tilt Authority and Speed Supervision (TASS) system for tilting trains, we set out to investigate the workings and the handling of this system while we are running a Class 390/1 train on the West Coast Main Line.

Full "Refreshing Refurb" scenario in Dovetail Games' WCML South: London Euston to Milton Keynes core route for Train Sim World 5, featuring short tutorials about the tilting mechanism on the BR Class 390 Pendolino train (30:27), the signage and balises used on tilting lines (40:21), the TASS cab controls and indicators (49:39) and the speed supervision mechanism in the TASS system (1:01:22).
