Those were the best days of my life

Ate strawberries straight from the ground. Ate raw hot dogs. Camped outside in the backyard with friends.

Ate...all the time at the home of friends and vice versa.

Never locked the front door.

Maybe I'm a little older? My first phone call @ 6 yrs. I had to crank the handle on the side of the wooden phone box to get the operator to request the number I wanted to call. 1952

There was no internet you dialed 411 for information. There were only 6 channels on your TV . We played outside til the streetlights came on . Life was so much fun growing up up in the 70' s !

I remember doing all of that and you knew it was time to go home when the streetlights came on.
But you could be outside all day and never have to worry about being kidnapped or shot or anything, because that's back when the days were great. Everybody knew everybody. So if you lived in a small town, everybody knew your name and knew your mother and father, grandmother and aunts and uncles. So everybody played at everybody's house. Or we played at the park or it's just rode our bicycles around not me. I spent most of my time in the woods. Just taking in nature, quiet and peaceful. I could spend hours in the woods. Those were the days you don't have those days anymore kids today. Wouldn't be able to handle it❤❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊😊😊

I have color tv, but still use rabbit ears (minus the foil). I have never counted steps in my life. I just walk. Except for birthday cakes, I have taken less than 2 dozen pictures of food. Most of those were for a friend who was jealous of my vacation on a train. So I took pictures of every meal and snack to make her happy.

Rode in cars without seat belts

At fifteen i drove from work to the store with shorts on no shoes no drivers license and a shot gun loaded leaning between the seats got pulled over by the cops and got a ticket for no drivers license. He let me go. We had the best cops back in those days they were our friends

Had to have your brother go turn the antenna to get the channel in clearly and you yelled out an open window when it was good!

When you had to use a plyers to change the channel because the knob was lost or broken!

We hurt for nothing back then. Ask yourself - other than a cell phone, nothing is different except that this plastic vision of the future sucks. The biggest difference is people are terrible.

I had a woodphone with batteries in it hanging on the wall and we were too longs and a short.

I remember those days.
However, we didn't have rabbit ears for an antenna. Dad had a 30 foot tower installed in back yard and an array that would have put any TV station to shame.

A skate board had steel wheels on it.

Those were the days! Sometimes I wish Icouldha e them back. Some things are way too much bull----!

And when i was at my Grandparents house, Grandpa also convinced me the Rabbitt Ears and channel changer knob also had an automatic remote controller.... "me"

Life was simple. You played and you worked. You behaved when running around, everybody knew you and if you did something wrong they called your parents and you was in trouble when you got home. When the weather was bad you played board games or read a book. All TV shows were PG. And the cartoons where great and fun to watch. No Computers or calculators. Tunes on the radio was relaxing. On weekends kids would go to the school grounds to play on the equipment, play baseball or football. A simple life. I was born in 1950.
