Newer Super Mario Bros is what NSMB U should have been as opposed to feeling like an HD reskin of the Wii game.

Hard disagree about the blue shell: that's a fun one that I wish would return.

5 years later, the New/Wii scene is pretty much settled. In the way of full mods superior to Nintendo's, you've got Newer DS, & Another, Adventure, and Newer for the Wii.

But New 2 is alive and kicking with Next coming out soon! And the Wii U is really exciting now with Adventure U and especially Evolution on the way! NEW IS NOT DEAD 🎉🎉🎉

And mario wonder is about to fix all of this

Maybe Super Mario Bros Wonder might as well be a part of the New Super Mario Bros series too

Nowadays, Super Mario Bros Wonder existed which not only succeeded what the "New" Super Mario Bros series could not, but also may be equal to Super Mario Bros 3 & World. This video has now been a bit outdated. Wish Antdude do the review of Wonder someday.

New super mario bros ds: A great return to the 2d mario franchise thats just fun all around.

New super mario bros wii: A nice upgrade to a home console with returning characters.

New super mario bros 2: Wii but it looks, sounds and plays worse.

New super mario bros U: Way to underwhelming and boring.

New super luigi U: Not as hard as people say it is but still fun.

Honest hot take: i dont like SMB3 that much. I genuinely feel like its praise is driven by sheer nostalgia. World lives up to the praise. 3 does not.
