If you played EQ2, Mistmoore Castle comes to mind. Where the zone is kind of a puzzle to navigate. Clicking on bookshelves that are secret doors, going behind wine shelves in basements, pulling a torch on the wall. Nothing too confusing, just enough to make the zones interesting.


As for train control, they'll either have to leash mobs, make points where they won't cross and interfere with the lowbies, or just say fuck it and let everyone die lol...

P.s. I'm super sarcastic I was only kidding about you not designing the game. You're a huge help to it's progression and I see how you really want the best for all its players. I'm sure VR has stolen all your ideas, and hopefully they make you a GM

When you say choke points I think tower defense or hero defense. Wonder if they could implement some of that type of gameplay through quests. I love the idea of the last Alamo type of mission where it’s where you have to hold out till reinforcements arrive.

EQ has choke points but I don’t remember any specific spots where it was a choke point and had mobs spawn.

Wouldn't mind seeing a One-Way dungeon. Would have to be High Level to ensure Players know what they're doing, cause it would have to be a hard Dungeon to really give the purpose to it. For example, You enter a High Mountain cave system, upon entering, a brutal cold follows you making it impossible to go back only forward. Eventually reaching a spirit guide that would allow you to bow out at an experience loss, say if your group wont make it through the end. Final Boss must be defeated as they are the one responsible for forcing you to them, to their demise of course. Maybe this could be higher level raid content, or just Regular High level content. Thanking DayjHawk for the inspiration.

Of course it's rough... Was he expecting to see polished game play? It sounds like he really doesn't understand the concept of pre-alpha testing.
