What's your favourite style of Architecture, and more importantly what will you try to apply in your save?!
Ответитьhey xclipse really love your videos i've learned so much. Just one question hopefully gets answered on this oldish video. in the prairie style you have ramps with a trim wall on them. just wondering how you managed to get that to work? thank you so much for your videos
ОтветитьPfhhh, and you said you couldn't lay brick....
Lookin at you Boston build.
Well played sir!
The Chicago school style looks very like an old victorian (?) factory: red brick, big windows for natural light, black steel
ОтветитьAwesome work. Only architect gods can smile on these creations.
ОтветитьI farted today, it was less stinky than this channel.
ОтветитьIt would be great to see a video with tips for us beginner factory builders. I would love to make a fancy looking factory, but I'm still on the smallish side of what I can make. Even just simple little flourishes would make it feel special!
ОтветитьI finally did my first attempt at "architecture" the other day!
Instead of just plonking some foundations down across a canyon to walk across, I took the time to actually put down some columns to make it appear as if it was a bridge with supports. I even made the electrical wires and belts running along it look like support cables. AND added some inverted ramps next to the columns so it was less blocky
It will be a long time before I ever reach THESE levels of buildings...but I'm proud of my little bridge!
I sometimes limit the floor space I have to work with on purpose to force myself to come up with solutions. And never a square or a rectangle. Think more of shapes.
Then you link the odd shaped buildings with each other via bridges or second/third floors and make it look good with pillars, windows and walls. And tadaa! You've created unique architecture.
Really excellent video Total Eclipse! Really digging the examples of Prairie and Chicago styles!
ОтветитьGreat videos TX, I tend to sink a few hundred hours into Satisfactory, get to a certain point, stop for a while and then repeat, and your videos always teach me something new and are my go-to. Amazing. I'd love it if you could do a "Build Along" type video, detailing various beautiful design aspects, less about the actual factories themselves, but just making them look beautiful.
I've seen some of the time-lapses you've done, especially the heavy module frame one and was blown away by the beauty of the building. I'm very much a see it done, follow along, type learner and would be amazing to get some inspiration as I followed along as you built some beautiful buildings step by step. Appreciate if this request is stupid or too complicated :).
Loved seeing historical architecture applied to Satisfactory. Wright, Sullivan, and Burnham would be proud!
ОтветитьAnother thing you can do with billboards is use them as floors. If you place a beam down you can then snap the billboards parallel with the floor on the beam. The large billboard fits perfectly over two foundations.
ОтветитьAwesome video showcasing all the cool stuff Update 5 has to offer! I only wish you'd do a tutorial on those sign blendings for the matrix walls, that looks absolutely 🔥
Ответитьwow!! great job on these builds man. freaking love them!! "And yes please on the sign video." that would be awesome. I am just getting back into the game. See you around ;)
ОтветитьIn my "eSthetic" run I'm just getting to the point where I've unlocked about 2/3 of the fun building pieces from the shop. Once Ficsmas is over I'll be looking at doing "makeovers" for my existing factories. I absolutely love the "embedded signs as active accent highlights" idea!
ОтветитьMost buildings seem to be hollow and not really suited for a true factory to be placed inside. They're gorgeous though, but not practical and serve no real function. I first build my factories, then cover it with walls and roofs and I've managed to make my coal power plant and quartz factory to be nicer than just plain open foundations or a simple box building. I'm just getting started with making my factories more beautiful and these videos give me some ideas though, as they show clearly what's possible and how you should do it.
ОтветитьYou say "There's nothing wrong with the style you want"...
Did you look at Let's Game it Out??
really cool builds dude
ОтветитьSmoothism supporter here ✋
(Definitely excited and terrified for the day that I U5-ify my steel spiral)
Although, I’ve been messing around with other styles in my current mini-mega base and logisitics tower project.

ОтветитьThank you for all the great Satisfactory videos! You are my go to to figure things out or get inspiration.
ОтветитьI have a question; What are your specs for your PC? I don't think my build can handle architecture like that for Satisfactory.
ОтветитьHey this was super fun to watch as an architectural designer. one note, Italiante is actually Italianate (Italian-eight)
ОтветитьSee, I haven't given much thought to decorating. My factories are spread out, as my computer isn't the most powerful, so the less stuff clumped in one place, the better my framerates.
To be fair, I've been playing more Dyson Sphere Program these days. Started it at the update 5 experimental release. One thing I like about DSP, no pipes. I can send those oil blocks down belt in gelatinous blobs.
Although, I'm going to revisit this game, as I need to purchase all the new stuff in the Awesome Shop. And Ficsmas.
If anyone else is wondering, the black stripes in the Chicago school factory are made with stacks of frame floors. They'll look slightly different depending on how they're rotated. In other areas, frame foundations are used. Each is filled with a concrete foundation and painted to look like brick. For the arches, they can be offset by a half foundation by using a small pillar before building the walls.
ОтветитьYou've really grown in your builds and presentation, TotalXclipse. Kudos, and thank you for bringing us such wonderful inspiration from some of the best factory architects!
ОтветитьDo you make saves available with any of these buildings? I'm interested in how you did certain aspects and being able to dissect the building would be quite helpful.
ОтветитьFunction following form in nearly all of these, yeah? I feel like you'd need to build the entire shell first and then decide what factory could fit within. Beautiful though.
Sign tips yes, please!
Awesome ideas dude.
New save with update 5 started on my main base yesterday and struggling for ideas thus definetly gave me a few <3
Yo, Any tips on getting tickets so I can get more variations of buildings?
Ответитьcan you please send your satisfactory builds to some actual architects and builders i wanna see these things
ОтветитьYour videos, and builds are just simply amazing.
ОтветитьI'm very into the Chicago style for my own build but have experimented with some other styles. I have a medieval style castle for heavy modular frames.
ОтветитьInterested to see how you finish the waterfall villa, wish I could afford something like that in the real world.
ОтветитьLove the different architectures. By the way have you see the tetris minigame in the hub yet ?
Ответитьthis needs more likes, like a million more
Ответитьsurprised Scalti wasn't mentioned. his style is so simple, yet effective and clean
ОтветитьWOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ОтветитьSome good inspiration here =)
ОтветитьI'm partial to the Futuristic styles mixed with Smoothism, and maybe a touch of Eco.
Ответитьdo a video on signs yes ;)
ОтветитьAbsolutely love the Chicago school, though the range of different styles you present are just incredible and all are very inspirational.
ОтветитьI was really in need for some ideas, cause box factories are ripping my eyes out on my save
Ответить4th Re-start of Update 5, and my factory builds still consist of spaghetti, boxes, tears and Broken Dreams!!
ОтветитьGreat video! I'm not exactly sure how to describe it but you have an issue with your voice recording. It seems to be reverberating pretty loud at a low frequency.
Ответить"Architects suck" - RCE 2021
But in seriousness, cool stuff!
Really love that Chicago school, totally going to use that for my pure iron production
