I believe the hat is a hunting hat.
My Dad and brother and grandpa wore that hat for deer hunting.

Hi Alex and Kelly, before you start ripping pages out of those two books you got about the cats and the dogs, they're vintage books and they're worth money.

Depending on date of green ceramic Christmas tree if it's still there is really worth getting.

I love that Alex took the time to look thru things. My hubby wouldn't do that. He might go and look around and then step out and let me look.

Estate sales usually have a discount day where everything is half off.

Oh my gosh the stories that house could tell the first one. I would be in a state of just awe going crazy. That was truly incredible and the people kept their possessions so with care and loved their collecting. Love the orange hats really do. And oh my gosh all the stuff from the second too. I love love love this. Love old history to. Think it is wonderful you both love these finds too. The JFK newspaper in such good condition omg that must be worth a fortune. Would love to see live some of the scanning and exciting things you find reading through. hugs
