Honestly ? Bioshock 2 is what Bioshock Infinite hopes to be. The personnal connection between Delta (the player) and Eleanore is way more impactfull than what We've got in Infinite. Especially since the ending change depending on your actions.

No badly written timetravel/alt realities, just a personal story about 2 broken characters. Love it.

I don't know why Im just realizing this now. But its so stupidly hilarious that the city police officers were totally ready to just flay Booker's face off with a SkyHook right in front of a bunch of spectators, bunch of men, women, and children, rather than cuff him and take him to the station lol.

1. Infinite & Burial at Sea (could not stop playing, literally addicted - Elisabeth as a fallower was... well lets just say every game with companions I played after felt like hugely dumbed down npcs)
2. Bioshock 1 (slightly bellow infinite for me personally, loved it)
3. Bioshock 2 (at some point I kinda lost focus and interest in game, which promptly returned with last 1-2 levels when Eleanor was more present - she should be something similar to Elisabeth in Infinite)

The pace , build up and such were so good until the whole multi universe hopping thing happened specifically because of how it went through like 7 universes
Also lack of use of song bird, so much cut content, making booker half the cast

The thing that always got me is the whole part where Booker set's the coordinance to New York.

All he had to say was either
-"I need to pickup/take care of a few things at home first"
-"I need a change of clothes/money to buy a change of clothes"

bro could've said a million things to diffuse the situation, but didn't

You're entitled to your own opinion. I, on the other hand, would much prefer Infinite over 2. Say what you will about Infinite, but it's far more memorable and interesting than 2. There's a reason I've only played Bioshock 2 once since its release.

Bioshock franchise aka the interactive art painting

Anyone who doesn't think the same is trash and doesn't deserve to know that this franchise exists.

Bioshock infinite may have been propped up by the media, but I came across it far after that point. As far as games are concerned these days, it's pretty good. Bioshock 2 is my favorite. Despite the flaws, Bioshock 3 is more fun and visually appealing than most modern FPS.

From what i can say the characters were interesting and i wanted to know more about them, but the story kept moving everywhere and the confusion was with the multiverse made it worse.

Tbh Infinites World building is a massive step back from 1&2. The game does very little to explore the ramifications of living in Columbia practically, the process of how it was built, the restraints on diets or material goods getting into the city and does practically nothing to explore how the vigor's are used in day to day society, and if they have any ramifications at all. After you meet Elizabeth the narrative becomes so honed in on her that Columbia is reduced to little more than a city you shoot guys in than a place you actually explore as a lived in, populated environment.

I remember when this game came out, everyone was going crazy about it.. like it was some kind of breakthrough masterpiece that has redefined the entire medium. Critics and reviews were also saying this.
I played it halfway through and then dropped it, thought it was extremely mid. Very uninspired, kinda boring. It's refreshing to see how opinions have settled on this over time.

So, I want to make sure I have this right. The tower Elizabeth is found in somehow prevents her from opening tears to other realities and leaving correct? Ok, let's for the sake of argument, assume that makes sense. Why doesn't Elizabeth leave the moment she gets out of the tower?

Anyone else was pretty much a kid back when this game released? My father introduced it to me when he bought the Xbox 360, i don't think back then i even knew what a fps game was, but i immediately felt in love with it's visuals, i didn’t bother understanding the story back then, so a lot of the religious and political themes went over my head lmao.

Even with it's flaws and with a lot of wasted potential, i still love this game, i haven't played Bioshock 1 and 2, so i yet have to discover how much better these two games are.

All the other times they travel to a dif dimension they're roughly at the "same time" but with different things that have happened. When Comstock steals the child from himself, does he go earlier in his own world to steal it from the real "himself" or does he go to the past and steal her from a different Booker?

As touched in this video, while I can see how they connect, the part where you enter the tears feels like a different game. This might just be me, but this situation felt similar to MassEffect 3 in that when the game was starting to wind down someone discovered that the game's nature progression was heading in a direction that wouldn't lead to the desired ending that a/the higher up(S) wanted, so they came up with some way to get it back on track despite the obvious deviation this would cause in the previously naturally flowing story. In order to minimize any and all repercussion caused by these change, different amount of things needed to be added and/or modified in order to more seemingly blend it into what already exists.

My main reason for liking infinite, and disliking the others is both that I just really like time travel and multiverse plots and also not really enjoying the run down, almost post apocalyptic feel of BioShock 1 & 2 when looking at the environment. I dislike fallout for the same reason.

Is infinite a life-changing game that still influences me to this day? Not really, but I had fun playing it. Will I replay it? Probably not

Yeah I genuinely cant get into the game, tried it countless times & I get bored every time. I'm not a fan of the atmosphere or Columbia at all, this turned me off from the game instantly. I prefer rapture by a mile. I also prefer the little sister system, the bioshock 1 & 2 plasmids, weapons, enemies, story, etc. I also view Bioshock 2 as the best in the series with the best DLC. Infinite is easily the worst for me.

Bioshock infinite does have a terrible story, but most people just milk that fact to strengthen their opinion, but the other aspect of the game that's a letdown were the side quests. They could've used side quests to expand the plot or something that is actually fun to do with a good reward but instead we were gifted with side quest that provides very little effort and is basically an easter egg hunt but except it is is keys and vox deciphers that barely has a purpose in the story😢.

I hate how the vigors haven’t affected how their society industrialised, like how bending didn’t affect the industrialisation of republic city in legend of Korra

You’d think borderline magic would affect how a society advances, but I think their impact on the setting is as shallow as (((Ken Levine’s))) political commentary
