Don't Play with Phasers - Star Trek TOS

I get confused where the firing button is on a type 1.

That bum phasering himself was always one of my favorite scenes.

And yet by TNG you could hide behind a barrel and be perfectly safe from phaser fire...

The bum went through many phase

😂 for some reason, as many times as I've seen that scene, I didn't catch the significance of a phaser being pointed at Kirk's head!😂
