About 6 years later... There are now 47 (or so) H2 fueling stations in CA. Used Nexos are incredibly cheap, which is a reflection of the available fuel stations. I have an Android phone and some of the apps work just OK. The biggest supplier in the state - True Zero - has lots of broken down pumps, and does not have an Android app.
ОтветитьThey do have hydrogen stations for trucks and buses you know
ОтветитьFriendly ufo ? Pffff.. that’s not running off of zero point energy
ОтветитьQuestion: if i buy one & get in a bad car accident on the freeway will it explode like a hydrogen bomb?
ОтветитьHow come americans cannot pronounce HYUNDAI and say HUNDAY instead ?
Ответить10.000 psi of pressure in the tank. So the more you drive, the more the pressure will drop in the tank.... Is that an issue or is it mitigated somehow or does it limit how long it can drive m?? Is the pressure important?
ОтветитьWhat a wonderful car maker Hyundai / Kia has become
ОтветитьHydrogen for cars will never happen to any significant extent
ОтветитьHydrogen still has a long way to go but i hope it becomes a reality because the technology is really cool and very environmentally friendly
Ответитьyeah $60k+ just to have fuel costs be more than a truck. No thanks, ill stick to my 2020 Hyundai ionic hybrid SE. 600+ miles on a tank that costs as of today 40$ at 4$ a gallon. Not even electric cars can beat me in fuel cost on a road trip. We need to produce more plug in hybrids and make them really good. Your daily drive covered by battery that charges with a regular household outlet. And then for long road trips a very high mpg due to a tiny little motor that sips fuel. I do like the new idea with Aptera tho. Putting solar on a car and making the car so efficient that your daily commute can be cover by the panels on your car. Not to mention how much less stress on super charging because just a 100kw charger gives you 1000miles and hour charge rate which means if you had the low spec model at 250milles that's a 10min empty to 80% charge. you wont needs these power hungry super chargers at 350kw. But only time will tell if these number hold up to what they claim. So take that with a grain of salt. But that is where we should head instead of big ass suvs and trucks with massive batteries.
ОтветитьIt's good that you mentioned that battery production is a major environmental problem and turns whole areas of land into deserts. So in order to save the environment, we are destroying it. As long as electricity comes from coal-fired power plants and nuclear power plants, nothing is gained and the C02 backpack is only shifted to the power plants. Hydrogen is already being produced green in Spain and in the future we in Europe will obtain green hydrogen from Africa. Hydrogen clearly has added value when it comes to the promised expansion of the infrastructure. But that's not down to Hyundai, the 3rd generation of the Nexo is planned for 2024 and will also have a little more power, like the Toyota Mirai. I'm really looking forward to the new Nexo and am thinking about buying one.
ОтветитьWhere i live it is half the cost of petrol to run this car and it is going to drop another 40% in the future. Only problem is there is almost none filling stations.
Ответитьovercome it, unless they figure out a way to charge up carry movie on me an electric car in 10 minutes, and of course
ОтветитьThats some real BS hydrogen prices. In Sweden it costs about 9$/kilo and to be honest, it should never cost more than 5$ anywhere on the planet. In the future they think the price will drop to 1.5-3$/kilo. You got scammed bigtime.
ОтветитьNOPE Fueling up costs WAY TOO MUCH 🖕🏼THAT
ОтветитьOMG... It's "Pollutant" is none other than "CO-2"../ Plant Food..!!
Ответитьa
Ответитьonly thing stopping me from getting one is that san diego has very far fuel stations
ОтветитьNone of these videos about hydrogen cars get it right. They typically lament the absence of refueling stops as a barrier which is absurd. There way a recent time when there were no re-charging stations for electric cars. All we have to do is to build more re-fueling stations which is warranted by the fact that hydrogen is an immediately available technology to replace ALL applications, of fossil fuels, including transportation. In the future, EVEYTHING will be hydrogen fueled.
ОтветитьDefinitely much better than any EV even better than Tesla, if only it had the infrastructure and servicing availability,
I'd buy one for each of our families, in U.S. and UK
Fool-Cell , replacing gas stations for hydrogen, yeah if we would have started in the late 90s
ОтветитьHmmmm Gasoline in your vehicle is not stored under High Pressure? Hydrogen Is!
Ответитьreally beautiful car
ОтветитьSorry to bother All GoGreen lovers ... could someone tell me if we can have Mannual transmission in Hydrogen fuel cars ....?
ОтветитьAny news yet on safety ratings, with regards to impacting the hydrogen tank?
ОтветитьMy question is, when refueling do you have to fill up the tank completely or can you do it like gasoline where you only fill up what you want. This might be a no brainer but ive been searching and haven't found anything on it.
ОтветитьMusic in the background destroyed your video
ОтветитьI hear it is equivalent to paying 13 dollars a gallon for gas.
Ответить85$ do full up and how many miles u drive with this ?
ОтветитьIt's always good to have multiple source to power vehicle on road. Say for fuel cell car, having hydrogen tank means lighter than EV car having bulky battery. Anyway I prefer truck/bus/SUV using fuel cell for better mileage, EV car on daily commute.
ОтветитьWe could make completely green hydrogen with heat from small modular reactors.
ОтветитьFor larger vehicles or air planes, yes. But no to passenger cars. 10000 PSI?
ОтветитьCO2 is good for the earth.
ОтветитьNot a single Hydrogen refuel station in the whole of Ireland, north and south..just feel it is the new betamax
ОтветитьReally well done! Only critique is you left out the hydrogen fuel cost on this trip??
ОтветитьI can hardly wait until the first hydrogen tank explosion.
ОтветитьSafer than EV!
ОтветитьNow Florida has hydrogen stations.
They're already taking orders for the Toyota Miraj!!!!
How stupid are these presenters... the most OBVIOUS answer to the hydrogen car is solid state hydrogen replacement as opposed to recharge. Its mindlessly daft to recharge at a station... simply purchase a recharged cell like you swap out your gas cylinder. The cells that have reached recharge limit will be returned to manufacture to recycle. No fancy recharge forecourt required - simple delivery of a small package of fuel cells BECAUSE (AND I MAKE IT LARGE FOR IDIOTS) THE SWAPPED OUT CELLS CAN BE RECHARGED BY THE STATION in much the same way gas is refilled into a swapped out cylinder! DUH!
You can even use solar energy to do that. No coal powered grid required.
If it doesn't happen this way - its not because this method isn't the most convenient for all concerned - its because the woke governments of the west are too stupid to "allow" this financially disruptive technology to deprive their campaign funding buddies of egregious profits from far less effective options.
My car running in hydrogen thru electrolysis means it's producing hydrogen by itself. Small amount of hydrogen enters to the combustion chamber just to crack whatever fuel you are using that is my secret how to run my car 100% hydrogen.
ОтветитьStill cleaner to produce hydrogen then it is to make batteries to your EV
ОтветитьGode cars
ОтветитьTrue Green Hybrid SUV:
15kw plugin battery (>110km range) with efficient regenerative breaking, ultra high capacity >1.5kw solar top on roof & bonnet and small hydrogen 4kg tank (>350km range) for light-weight & cost-effective green hybrid FCEV (>600km range) under $25k or ₹200k..!!
Amazing video and very informative/high quality. Only issue I have with these cars and EV's are the cost. They need to be more affordable then gas cars to push consumers to move away from fossil fuel
ОтветитьSorry not expensive enough for the banksters .
Ответить....Nop!
