Let me know if you want to see more videos like this!
ОтветитьI got this achievement a few years ago by legitimately winning the war. It took some work but basically the strategy was to basically wear down the invasion forces while I built up an economy at war, not easy but is doable. Eventually I got enough money scraped together to have a couple of merc stacks and a basic Navy, but I ended up not needing the Navy, I just kept retaking the provinces they were able to capture and after a couple of years their desire to continue the war after a couple of years collapsed as they were not able to hold their gains and then they got into a War in Europe and that was existential to them so I was able to peace out by holding my own.
It really felt like I was George Washington because I avoided strong stacks until I had the forces to corner their large stacks, once that happened and the war in Europe triggered, I had enough warscore to peace out for money.
I didn't know this was meant to be a hard challenge; I did it on like my 2nd try without doing any tricks
ОтветитьThe Red Hawk Tuah
ОтветитьIt’s such an easy war to win because the ai is dumb and can’t get troops to you in large numbers
Ответить"another battle in Charlottesville"
oh no
When I did this achievement I sat around for 10 or 15 years and no British troops showed up. Eventually the option to white peace came up and that was that. This was back in 2018 though and from memory the AI had big troubles with naval transportation and landings
ОтветитьDid ya ally the French?
ОтветитьWhile I will also shame you for keeping Benedict Arnold over George Washington this probably would have resulted in Arnold staying loyal but Washington wasn't in charge for battle prowess he was in charge for leadership
Ответить"America doesn't have nobles... at least in the game" classic Red Hawk W
ОтветитьFunnily enough, I easily won the war against Great Britain and unlocked the achievement. As a new EU4 player with only 113 hours on Steam, I never imagined this achievement could be considered a difficult one. I simply won the war of independence and claimed all the territories I could and that was it.
Edit: When I got it, I had probably under 70 hours of gameplay, I just really wanted to play as America.
i always thought you were an Indian for some reason, where are you from?
ОтветитьYou removed the competition from taking his glory. Now, he won’t be a traitor. lol
ОтветитьMy guy out here rawdogging the revolution without assistance from France
ОтветитьI got bored the other week and decided to get this achievement in an afternoon, it wasnt too hard and i am not a good player.
I have no idea how i did
I actually did this a few years ago, not too hard if you focus on navy and take a shit ton of loans.
ОтветитьYou're no longer bald :O
ОтветитьActually insane you deleted Washington but kept Arnold!
Ответитьthe most important key to winning this war is to act like you're getting full annexed and thus losing if you do fail. max loans, merc stacks, whatever. once you start acting like you lose if you fail, and thus go all in, then it becomes far easier than if you do otherwise.
ОтветитьThe Hessian troops was more akin to the Condottieri in the game. They were not allied to GB.
ОтветитьI remember doing this achievement the correct way a couple years ago, but forgot to click Ironman mode.
CBF doing it ever again XD
The fact that Washington was fired and Kościuszko wasnt is outstanding
ОтветитьThis is easy if you just build couple well placed forts at the start. I didn't even have dlc to use parliament when I did this, but war still were super easy to white peace.
Ответить"benedict arnold , i think these guys are actually historical" lol
ОтветитьHe’s handsome. Like the moustache ❤
Ответитьwhat happened to ur head omfg
Ответитьamerica doesnt have nobles...at least in the game - truer words never spoke
ОтветитьThey all suck dic(DECAN IS)
ОтветитьIt's been a couple of months since I last watched Hawk's videos and I just got flashbanged by his long hair :)
ОтветитьDidn't seem that hard, won against UK on first try, haven't even thought of losing and revoking tactic. Just did owning Balkans as Serbia, seemed much harder (had Hungary, Austria, Commonwealth, Aragon hug box after defeating Ottomans and strong Venice)
ОтветитьIt's funny if you try to save the game after you finish for same pain
Ответить"Let's get rid of these extra generals"
deletes George Washington immediately
What’s the weird white border in the middle of the US?
ОтветитьKeeping Benedict Arnold is insane.
ОтветитьSo what ARE the most interesting starts outside of 1444?
ОтветитьOh damn, there was an easy way?
ОтветитьIn CK2, there was the Outside bet achievement and I allied France and the HRE, kicking Normandy out of their war and once I took England, I just stopped playing that save because fixing it was not worth the time, I got the achievement and that's all I needed. xD
ОтветитьYou know it's eu4 when in the American revolution suddenly war elephants appear
ОтветитьDo Venice in 1511 and own Austria and France
Ответитьi wonder if that one is easier on older patches. when start dates weren't so broken
ОтветитьI did it as developpers intended
ОтветитьI'm surprised this video is so long. From the Red Hawk I expected to see a cut and hear 'Alright, alright, the war is done' immediately after the estates setup ;P
ОтветитьYes, you should play an alternate start date once in a while
ОтветитьBruh the alt start date runs so goofy with being 10 years old. Love it.
ОтветитьSo, ladies and gentlemen after being at war with Great Britain for 10 years, and establishing Sunday schools, I think that's enough man.
