Great video! Did you outgrow stuttering? 80% of stutterers outgrow it, only 20% continue stuttering

I'm 37 years old single man
I've never had a decent job or life partner because of stuttering.
I've been to speech therapy, but it never worked. Life is already difficult, imagine how difficult could it be with stuttering. 😩💔

Excellent! I had a severe stutter until I was about 35 and finally figured out wtf was going on. Growing up I was a human punching bag and a mental wreck throughout my 20's.

Im happy now, successful and 90% fluent. I speak better but that wounded part of me still exists, I don't know if the fear ever really goes away or if its a fight you fight forever.

Just over 2 years on since this talk and I very much appreciate the comments that still come through. Keep going everyone, I still stutter very much but the key is to keep focussed on the outcome and less on how fluent you sound 💌💬

I’d be fully supportive of anyone with a stutter, but I really feel like if y’all had keywords to fall back on, you could snap out of it before it starts.
Like if you calm down enough to bluntly say something like “hang on, I gotta think”, you’ll be good.
Those who rush/assume your submissive response is an opp. Take note, but also disregard them. Bc everybody’s taking note.

Disappointing that he never stammered on a single word, and he talks about stammering and himself how it feels to have a stammer. Is he giving the impression to the fluent speakers that it is acceptable to be fluent and not acceptable to have a stamer. This would’ve been a perfect opportunity to show people with this, or does he himself does not like his ownstamer is desperate to be seen as a fluent speaker.

"I've stuttered all my days. I guess I'm one of those incurable stutterers. Everyone has his own personal demon and mine is stuttering. I found that once I accepted it as a problem and learned to cope with it by not avoiding or hiding or struggling with it, my demon lost its hold on me. --Charles Van Riper. My very favorite description of stuttering is from Van Riper, "Stuttering is everything that the stutter does to avoid stuttering." That's probably paraphrased. Great Description. It's right up their with Van's quotes.

I'm 28 years and still suffering from stuttering, for me I feel better when I see laughter on people's face over my stutter, laughter makes me feel like it's a laughing matter. But the biggest enemy that triggers me more is when I see pity on their face, pity makes me feel so helpless. But I know we gonna overcome stuttering no matter how long it takes, let's keep working hard lads.

You were about to give me tears.
Thanks.
For the first time, I accumulated the courage to see the videos on this Topic. I am shy and suffer a lot, even to the extent that I've not talked about it to my parents nor have they talked to me on this topic.
I miss my late mother. I think would that I had talked about my condition for once with her. Because I got better at speaking to a greater extent because of my mother's effort. She made me to say English speeches in front of the whole school. It also made me win govt English speech competitions.
I'm 20 years old now.
And, I just want to say that, if at times we speak less, it is better than speaking excessively. And also the fact that it is about ACCEPTING the fact and sharing or talking about it openly. And, showing courage to Be Yourself.
Life is life, we must go on, with whatever we have.
My Love ❤ to anyone who stutters while speaking. Please, don't take it on your nerves and don't stress about it. Our God does not put burden a soul than he/she can bear (Its in the Quran, I read it, even remembered it by heart). In a nutshell, If there is Life, there is world, Live your life fully.
