Is the 2025 Toyota Camry SE a BETTER sport sedan to BUY than a Toyota Prius?

They did that because of kids being in backseat. They would destroy that fabric lol- that is my guess tho

The back end looks horrible because as usual they were too cheap to put a dual exhaust. Epic failure not sure how you failed to mention this

Who would buy a Prius now after knowing this Camry can offer almost same mileage, better legroom and headroom for passengers, doesn't have that weird gauge cluster that Prius has. Only trunk space is better with Prius. Am I missing something?

Nice car, but Toyota is offering less and less models w/manuals.
I just bought a used 2022 Corolla XSE Hatchback w/a manual transmission, the last year that it was offered w/a manual.
I considered a new Corolla GR, which comes w/a manual transmission, but the price, as well as the interest rates, are just too high at the moment.

Prius, hands down, even though it has less options (even standard like rear vents and more chargers (where the f my usb charing port toyota? (obviously a prius owner)), for LESS money! not even saying its 2.5 engine...

When they replaced the V6 with more hybrid complexity, I lost my interest. This will not be user repair friendly if you plan to keep this long term like a lot of value conscious buyers used to appreciate about Toyotas.

Actually, Toyoda is not running all the way to the bank. The Tacoma is really tanking! Nobody is buying Toyota trucks. Check out how many are sitting on lots. Toyota has overpriced their trucks, the workmanship especially the TACOMA, is down the toilet! So, even though the Camry is a success, the Tacoma is dragging the profits into the gutter. I say, "You deserve it Toyota! You've screwed your loyal customers recently! Pay back is a bitch!" Oh well, now you will think twice before you screw loyal customers like me!

I would say you are wrong about the Camry not being as good as the Accord. The Camry surpasses the Honda Accord by a lot.

I just pulled the trigger on the same Model, its nice to know its got some performance on the twisty's, Right now the best bang for your buck, I think the interior is perfect, I could go without a few things if its gonna save me a few bucks. I'm really interested to see if I can actually get 47 MPG. ALSO That road you were on looked like it could use repaving, so it seemed like it handled the roughness pretty well. I think you should get one, I wanted a PRius originally and its hot, but man the Camry to me is a better buy. Where were you driving? We don't have Mountains in Tampa?

Just when you thought Toyota couldn't get more boring. They get rid of the v six.And mandated cvt transmissions Slow as hell, horrible transmission, horrible infotainment center Toyota mile touch absolutely sucks worst in the field. Then to top it off. Toyota got rid of the xse. S e and s e strike bumper, cover and put the standard l e big mouth grill.That nobody likes way to go, what a piece of garbage

I like the exterior design of the Camry. Like the interior of the Nissan Altima better.

I don’t know Joe about the discontinued v6 3.5L engine. I think Toyota made a bad decision on that. They should still have it an option for the Camry. As soon as I found out I purchased a 2024 TRD pearl white. I also think the body design of my Gen is much better. There was 2 on the lot in central Florida and they sold in one week. So people still want the v6. Lucky I found one out of Palm beach.

I love the way the car looks, rides, and handles except for 3 things.
The dash and door trim feels and looks cheap. The light grey is like pressed paper of some headliners of 15 years ago. Those would smudge easily and cleaning wasnt much of an option.
The dark trim as found on the dash dpes not resemble the low gloss leather like interior of 20 years ago. There is NO gloss. More like pressed cardboard. It feels like plastic that someone took a stripper to to remove the gloss. No slick, flexible, low gloss, easy clean surface. I think dust will be an issue. It feels like a quality thay may pull away in the heat, and could crack. That is awfully hard for me, a Toyota lover, to say.
the bar behind the rear seat still interferes with the pass through. Unlike some other Toyota models, it cannot be removed.
I prefer the model with the full size wheels. The low profile tires cause frequent breaking of the tire pressure gauges inside. This causes the warning light to come on in the dash display.

Those white marks on the seats will get dirty easily

prius looks better but this camry is far more functional. I'm saving up for one, unfortunally, its a lot more expensive in canada: Camry SE Upgrade FWD $47,000 CAD incl tax
