the 2 bigwig companies I'm so sick of and have turned away from completely... first and foremost... canon. Followed closely by sony. 2 bigwig corporate entities hellbent solely on self-service needs and wants. The only other company that exceeds them is apple corporation that I also abandoned forever.

I'm having doubts about Panasonic. But I am keeping my options and doors open to them. Of the 3 main entities reviewed, sony, canon and panasonic, the ONLY one that treated me well and almost like a human being was panasonic. But as time wears on I am starting to question their ethical views and am having real and reasonable doubts about what kind of company they really are. I know exactly what kind of company that canon turned into. Sony has followed on their heels and has delved nose deep into that enormous pile of corporate bullshit that is the driving force behind them now. And that bullshit? It's just corporate greed. The hallmark and the driving force behind every major corporate business group.

I hate "exclusivity." I hate greed. Sony and canon have become all to apparently exclusive, and their products have become more and more proprietary. canon has joined dicks with apple and their products almost operate exclusively with them. Moreover, canon has no scruples and will not hesitate to violate and ignore their product warranty agreements. Sadly, sony is following and tagging right along.

I have yet to buy and own a new panasonic camcorder I have no poor experiences with them, or how they conduct business with us, the people who built and made them... We, their customers who even today, spend our hard earned money on their products. I've had NOTHING but pisspoor experiences with apple and canon, and I've had a long line of empty excuses by sony. After struggling with them... I gave up and walked away.

Panasonic... you've not let me down and I have no experiences with you to share here. But please... don't let me down, and NEVER stop caring about your customers who helped you to become the powerhouse company that you are today. Sony did, apple did and so did canon... The part that was saddest to me is that I used to believe in those 3 companies. Now, I wouldn't lift a finger or spend a single penny on any of them if it would keep their doors open. They did this. They made me hate them, not me...

I'd think advanced camcorders would be a much more popular category. Power zoom + full frame that can crop in for even more reach, plenty of room for NDs, ibis, and audio connections/rigging, timecode integration, networking/5g for live streams, active cooling for slo-mo, etc. seems like such a powerful tool. Not sure why this space isn't booming with all the content creation out there.

I dont know why, but cam corders have best form factor 😅
