My machine blinks 3 times fast - short break then 3 times fast. How do I fix it? Reset doesn’t work, holing both buttons down for 7 seconds doesn’t work - coffee shouldn’t be this difficult!

On my machine the factory settings for dispensed coffee are:
Espresso (small cup) = 40 ml
Lungo (large cup) = 200 ml
