I got to 500 with mostly blues. Played crucible for a while until I got to around lvl 43 and then I played through the story. I got 2 500 lvl weapons and armor from crucible so my blue drops were always beneficial

Play crucible and gambit. You’ll reach the soft cap in no time

I was grinding before doing the mission and got my power at 459. a friend told me that it wouldn’t change and that i’ll still get out of the campaign with a 500 power. is that true!? because you said in your video that grinding would get me higher than starting with the mission... if that is true, then I have literally wasted 24 hours of my life. :)

Just wanna say. Do not grind before the campaign! It will boost you to lvl 50 and 500 power which is soft cap. I cannot stress that enough. I was 359 power when I started and am currently lvl 46 479 power with 3 missions left. Don’t waste your time. You only drop 2 powerful engrams items in campaign.
DO THE CAMPAIGN. Don’t wait. You’ll be wasting so much time!

It seems to cap at 500 and then u need to lvl up doing the weekly and daily challenges and the new coming raid.

The fastest way to level by far is to do public events, bounties, and patrols in the new area while getting every gold regen chest. Always put on higher drops as you get them, and don't infuse anything till you at least hit level 500. I went from 350 to 500 in about 2 hours rather easily. I haven't even completed the story yet either. Just go far enough to unlock the new area

I enjoy watching your videos because they're so informational and any decision I make involving the way I play is just that... My decision. Took the slow route, I went inside gambit and played till I got to level 50, it was really long but easy at the same time. Then I did the flashpoint, crucible, patrols, bounties and the heroic missions, and I noticed that the drops were going up and up, by the time I started Forsaken everything was dropping at 500 light level. I used the fireteam tokens and my cosmic ghost shell to get a total of 20% xp and in 2 days I was light level 500 and level 50, thanks for the advice and will be watching for more tips.

I'm doing the slow grind to reach the soft cap before i start forsaken, but as i'm going away on holiday early next week i can't see mt starting forsaken until i return (i know woe is me right lol). I also took your advice and banked all my resources, tokens and such to help boost my power level and actually gor Jade Rabbit drop from Devrin.

The one Triumph to own D2 Limited edition is a big fucking jab by Bungie. Lots of people don’t own that version and the only way to get the Chronicaler title is by buying it. Like wtf dude.
