Lol, do you have one of those classic DAE errors on screen at the end there?
ОтветитьThe dudes vocals are really cool. Reminds me of the vocalist from Sponge but more punk. A little Mike Ness-esque
ОтветитьHey just came across your videos! Would this be the same process mixing Clean vocals in a post hardcore(screamo) song? Could you do a tutorial? For example maybe BMTH new song lost
ОтветитьIt sounds great
ОтветитьYour the best jordan🍺🍺🍺
ОтветитьLove your content, thanks from Portugal!
Ответитьi really want to listen to this song is it availiable somewhere?
Ответитьtrack ID anyone ?
ОтветитьWell done! Crazy how fast you get results :)
ОтветитьWhats the mixer you have on your desk in front of you?
ОтветитьThat was amazing!
ОтветитьNew mix sounds amazing, bass on the old tracks sounds so good tho
ОтветитьWell your original still sounds better than my stuff. 😂 But wow what a difference between that and the new one.
Ответить"How much compression on that vocal?"
- Yes
🤩
PRO TIP: The guitar bus should have a sufficient amount of 500-600 Hz, as stacking guitars that are (usually) scooped (in this genre) you can end up with a real deficiency of weighty mids. =)
ОтветитьPlowed by Sponge instantly came to mind. The song is great.
ОтветитьDid you ever only pan LCR ?
Great videos, thank you
great video!
ОтветитьThe gang vocals were too distracting
ОтветитьI'm starting to become a firm believer in fast mixing. CLA has demonstrated this. I think our first impressions tend to be fairly accurate and fatigue sets in after a while, leading to over-processing and heavy handed moves. It's easy to get lost in the weeds, especially in this era of digital recall.
Ответитьjust love watching you make decisions in the mix because at the end of the day if it sounds good it is good!
ОтветитьIt reminds me a little to Bad Religion mixed with Rancid, Descendents and Bodyjar
ОтветитьCool video, btw his voice got me in the mighty mighty bosstones groove 👍cheers
ОтветитьWhat's the song name?
ОтветитьHoly f, night and day ! Awesome job
Ответитьinstruments sound good. wow the vocal tracking is rough. nothing to be done about that. you do not need to do upper case for emphasis in your video title.
ОтветитьQuantum Leap: forget about mixing and focus on tracking
ОтветитьThose raw guitar tracks sounded really great
ОтветитьRad band
ОтветитьThat was awesome
ОтветитьWait I thought we weren’t supposed to mix in solo! 😉
I kid I kid, sounds great Jordan.
great
ОтветитьSo...do you sell the template for Cubase/Nuendo? :D
ОтветитьOne of my favourite albums ever! Such an underrated band. Always felt TMR deserved a vinyl treatment, and even the old mix captures the perfect time and place. This new mix sounds incredible especially considering the time spent on it. It’s nice to hear more about this gem! Thanks for sharing!
ОтветитьSong name?
ОтветитьThis was awesome! The new mix sounds so good!
Ответитьhonestly i like the old one more. new one sounds more modern for sure. but it sounds like paramore or something where as the old one sounds punk and raw which i think serves this song better. idk i think the aesthetic is different and i actually do like the old one more. there's something to be said about the vibe that a mix sets beyond clarity and "radio readiness". they're definitely both great tho so maybe i'm splitting hairs.
ОтветитьLol man you're hammering the compressors on the vocals
ОтветитьRecently there was a plan to build a new village on this old base. Road access isn’t that great, so the government offered the council a grant of £30m to sort the necessary infrastructure. Council said no 😮 Bad for folks wanting a home in one of the most expensive areas of the country (try being a first time buyer there 😬), but good for those of us wanting somewhere cool to explore!
ОтветитьGreat song and this was fun
ОтветитьHuge improvement! Specially on how the drums hit, so much definition.
ОтветитьI'm a really big fan of your videos and have learned so much since I started following. Is there anyway for me to get your kick and snare sample to import into slate trigger? It seems like its only available to your students but I am more of a part time producer. I'd be happy to pay for them. I've been following you since the Silverstein Rescue Album.
ОтветитьImpressive! You are the man!
ОтветитьGeiler Song! Und super Arbeit!❤
ОтветитьIf anyone's curious the song is That Street by The Decay
ОтветитьA very Leatherface sounding track. Love it, great video as well!
ОтветитьDamn, totally thought this was the Sainte Catherines until the vox hit. Incredible mix dude. My mixes have been guided heavily by your advice. Still have a ways to go, but it's closer than it's ever been. Much love from Sudbury.
ОтветитьMix that been before sounds actually not that bad!
ОтветитьI'm assuming that when you imported the session data from your template you then had to move each region onto those new tracks? If not I would LOVE to know how you did it.
