try the custom terrian generation mod, youll have to change it to 1.0 to use it though, but It might give you a challange.

I think you are right to call this vanilla. I agree that unless you use overhaul mods, its still vanilla.
When most people see your title not mentioning anything about overhauls, they’ll assume its vanilla anyway, so the vanilla tag was kinda redundant in the first place. Good call on ditching the tag.
