They act like half of the population supports leftists (trzaskowski), not true. Only 67% of the population voted, and 48% voted for Trzaskowski (liberal) so much less than half of the population. While Duda (Nationalist) has 51% support and a lot of young people supports him.

I am Polish, I voted for Duda though I am far from idolizing him or his party PIS. Even further from directly, personally benefiting from his pro family fiscal policies. My reasons then? Well at least 3 main reasons:
1. The opposition has had a nasty habit of looking for support outside Poland instead of trying to win the approval of their own country folk.
2. The opposition blocked the constitutional date of the elections, which fell on 10th of May purely because they had not had a chance with a previously selected candidate (Kidawa Błońska). They used the covid19 virus as their ally and were pushing for the postponement of the election day indefinitely at the risk of destabilizing the country's political system.
3. The opposition paint themselves as the open minded, tolerant lot as opposed to the rest of the nation (those supporting Duda). Look at the opposition's reaction to the recent election results now. I don't know about tolerant, but foul mouthed ... yes. On the main, Duda voters seem all to be just alcoholics and wife beaters :-) So there goes your respect and open mindedness (i.e. ability to accept other people's views).
