I'm in the real Mexico now! Chetumal on the Yucatan

Real Mexico & Real Mexican?  BUT..It still looks pretty modern to be OLD Mexico to me!  : ) 

 The last time I was in a off the beaten trail no mans land town in mexico the homes was built out of all kind of stuff old wood pallets & or old wooden board or card board sheets of plastic anything that could be used as a shelter.

I was about 200 miles south of Rocky point at a location called Desemboque.

I got a Mexican friend that going to be going home for while to the country of Nicaragua to a town right out side of the city of Managua....BUT he don`t like me to call him a Mexican.  He will say he is from Nicaragua and not mexico..LOL

anyway....He tells me the town!  Ciudad Sandino. He tells me the word Ciudad mean city a city of  75,000 people.

So the city he is going to?  He told me they don`t have any house address numbers on the houses where he is going to be at! 

So..Gabriel I want to ask ya; How often do ya run into this problem of no addresses on the homes and business while you have been out traveling the world?

You should go to central Mexico now, lots of cities, cultural towns...its amazing, specially Guanajuato, im from here here so thats why im telling you. do some reseach youll love it instantly. keep it up!!

Based on my experiences, I agree with all your ideas on the use and purposes of the large and small backpacks, as well the ability to fit the small pack into the large pack.

Ive been there ! I loved it, the people were so friendly and it was a nice quiet town. I love Mexico .

When you fly from California you suppose to land in Cancun international airport,,right? So how did you end up here in this town? Did you take a bus? Or another fly?

Not sure I could start backpacking at my age. But fun to watch your travels off the beaten trail.
