Great demo thank you!
ОтветитьNice square lfo sequence around 6min. haunting
Ответитьwonderful demo !
Ответитьgreat review, wonderful chords. thanks
ОтветитьI know they sell a 25 key midi keyboard but what keyboard you using to play it?
Ответитьlove this demo, anyone chained 2 x JX-03 to get 8 note poly?
ОтветитьI Will probably cross post this to the JP08 and JU06 boards as well.
I hear SO MUCH grousing about these. So here, once and for all, is a real-world working musician view.
1) No. They are not the originals. I have the originals, and they do not leave the house.
2) They are 4 voice. After 30 some years, more than enough for composition, arranging and recording.
3) They are small. Yes, geniuses, they are. So small, in fact, that I can carry them anywhere with me, use batteries, and get ideas down and stored faster than any other way I know. See #1 for where my full size boards live.
4) They are digital. Yes, and this is a form factor preference, but the day I use a Mac or a PC or Plug In or a VST to make my next record - I will be dead from a self-influcted gunshot at close range with an elephant gun. Click here. Right click here. Uh huh. So organic. Put the f(*&)(ing computer down and learn your damn craft.
5) They tried to pack too much in and made no one happy with the compromises. I have read multiple whines about slider size, voice count, non-analog, etc... I dunno - but for 300 bucks, I'm all in. Try getting anywhere close to this level of expression for that (Not talking about the software route - which feels the same to me as a million rats gnawing on my face).
6) And last, for those of you telling me how different they sound: In late 2016 a record I am working on now will drop (hopefully!). I am using nothing but the boutiques, a Volca Sample, an old SY22 and a Teenage Engineering PO12. Let's just see how many people call me out on using these digital synths.
Thank you for your time

ОтветитьNice demo
ОтветитьNice work! Can you provide us the chords you used?
ОтветитьIf you'd had to choose between the 3 boutiques which one would be your favorite and why?
ОтветитьOne question! Can i use a sustain pedal with de Roland JX-3P? Conected to a m-audio midi controller.
Thank you!
thx for these 😃
Ответитьthanks for the wonderful demo, I'm looking for a small synth module to complement my electro 5d and this seems fit the bill. one question, can you use the pitchbend strip whilst playing the a1 keys?
ОтветитьDammit now I want one!
Ответитьreally really good demo. Love the views and the constant demo and fiddling, with no voice over.
ОтветитьDunno if I would add one to my collection, but it sure sounds good!
ОтветитьBuying one TODAY
ОтветитьYou're so grat, 'cause you're not even using presets, but programming the sounds on the fly, i'd like to do so....
I also own JX-03, and feel a bit limited by only 16 user presets....
This vid convinced me to just order one of these before they're all gone! Is it your favourite of the boutiques?
ОтветитьDoes it respond to midi velocity from keys in?
ОтветитьThis one is really underrated, but it's my favorite.
ОтветитьDoes this work on any midi keyboard?
ОтветитьBest demo! This synth is tempting me
I was wondering, which one would give more vintage sounds? kind of like a Mini Moog (I know its sound is completely different) between JU-06, JX-03, JP-08
Great demo. I have to say, I bought the JX-03 on the strength of this video. You should work for Roland... :D
ОтветитьThis series of demos on Roland's Boutique synths is the best I've come across so far. I've recently picked up the JX-03 as my first real hardware synth. I foresee quite a few wee hours of the morning noodling sessions.
ОтветитьI've recently become very curious about the JX-3P. What do the SH-101, Juno 6/60, Jupiter 6/8, MC-202 and JX-3P have in common? The greatest filter Roland ever designed, the IR3109 ota 4 pole filter.
Why hasn't the JX-3P generated the kind of interest those other synths have? I would understand if the PG-200 programer didn't exist, but JX-3P's with the PG-200 typically sell on ebay for $800. A Juno 60 typically sells for close to $2k, is the chorus worth an extra $1k? Or is there a difference in the circuits that make the Juno 6/60 sound superior?
Damn good demo. Made me buy one
ОтветитьHi! Can you make LFO modulate the pitch?
ОтветитьWhat is that case that holds the 2 units? That is the issue that I see with these units; how to use them in a live setting.
ОтветитьI'm buying this now
Ответитьwhile kinda cool, this is the one Roland KB that really didn't need a recreation. Ive used these but they weren't that exciting back in the day. I always thought of them as Juno's with limited control. Did they have a character of their own? Maybe I missed something
ОтветитьAmazing video!
ОтветитьIf you put rechargeable batteries in the Boutiques, can you charge them via the micro USB? EXCELLENT playing, btw. I listen to your demos all the time while I'm doing stuff!
ОтветитьReceived one in mail today; it's pretty ok; i love the mixer of 1 or 2 vco together; has sine wave; you can make nice sub basses (put squarewave lfo on it or whatever you want); has pink noise, white noise; you can invert the adsr ... looks nice :)
ОтветитьI see you have a few there i was wondering what boutique you liked best overall
Ответить16 min mark is where this video starts
Ответить21 min mark made me buy this
ОтветитьThanks Man!!!!
Really, the best demo...
I thoroughly enjoyed this for the music itself.
ОтветитьWOW
ОтветитьDon't know how i ended up here , but anyway nice video that proves how good synth always sound great , everything respond like it's supposed to ..... this also def close the deabte about how does it sound versus original , it's sounding how you want it to sound ....
Ответитьhey wow que bueno gracias por el video saludos desde Mexico
