The Sumo Robot League MRK-1 has a user-controlled LED on pin 7. This video adds to the instruction and exercise found in Chapter 2 of "An Introduction to Robot Programming: Programming sumo robots with the MRK-1" The video demonstrates how to open the Example Blink sketch included in the Examples section of Arduino (the Arduino IDE and the Arduino Web Editor), modify the pin number, replace the delay between switching the LED on and off with a variable, and then play with that variable to make the LED blink fast and to start out blinking fast but loop by loop get slower and slower.

This exercise can be done with just the MRK-1 board, but please hold the board from the sides and be careful not to place fingers on the electrical components soldered to the bottom of the board.

For the Arduino sketches used to make the LED blink found in Chapter 2 of the book mentioned, visit github.com/SumoRobotLeague/MRK-1 and look in the Chapter 2, Lesson 2.2 folder.
