Incredible, I had no idea you could do that. I have bridge camera that it's a great point and shoot. I'm looking to buy a Lumix G95 which is a 4/3 sensor and believe it could give me similar results. Before I buy it, do you have any other cameras to recommend? Ideally I'm looking for something that's good for street photography and can handle night time too. While I love the astro stuff you do, at the moment I'm not sure if I have the patience to do it myself.
ОтветитьAwesome output and tutorial! Are all of those 10 shots of the sky all using 15” shutter speed each?
Ответитьvýborné a poučné video díky...
Ответитьso if you have a complicated subject like a simple tree that you lit this is bonkers tutorial cause all i see are the crazy masking marks
ОтветитьThanks for sharing... Still applicable after so many years. Big thmbs up and surely a sub from me :)
ОтветитьRichard, How close to you get when you light paint? I notice you get out there near the subject. Do you ever get too much in the way of the shot while painting?
ОтветитьWhich phone app you used?
ОтветитьFinal image is just PEFECT !
ОтветитьI have learned so much! I can’t wait to try this. You have a new subscriber. Thank you!
ОтветитьExcellent for me Thank you
ОтветитьШикарный результат прямых рук фотографа
ОтветитьThat was incredible! Thank you so much!!
ОтветитьNice picture I've actually got a d7100 but lens is a nikon 24 85 smallest f stop is 3.5.
ОтветитьSorry to nit-pick, but... The amount of light picked up is determined by the size and sensitivity of each photosite on a sensor, not the overall size of a the sensor. A crop sensor, at 24MP, say, will have similar sized photosites as a 36MP FF sensor. At any given aperture and ISO, the photosites will capture a similar amount of light in each exposure. If you have a FF 36MP camera next to a 24MP APSC sensor, with the same settings for aperture/ISO/shutter speed, each photosite will capture the same amount of light on both cameras, surely?
ОтветитьXLNT tutorial. Thank you.. use to do a lot of light painting, but this beautiful with the night sky as an addition.
ОтветитьWow! No words, that looks fantastic, I guess I'll have to start to do postprocessing, although I'm not a really great fan of it tbh. That said, knowing that such a beast of an image was made with a pretty slow and, arguably, non ideal lens, it gives me hopes for what I may achieve with my a6400 and the Sigma 30mm 1.4, which is pretty damn sharp. Thanks for the lesson, I learned a lot!
ОтветитьHow good was that, what a great tutorial, simple easy to understand, narrated and demonstrated beautifully
Ответитьnow folks, this is a living testament to what pro's said about gears & skill..
give a pro photographer a kitlens & they will give you a topnotch output..
give a newbie a top of the line camera/lens & gives you an either underexposed or overexposed output..
Im a newbie as well, literally, bought last month nikon z6II as my first camera with 85mm & 35mm 1.8S lens..this video gives me a lot of insights in terms of gears/experience as on how to use what youve got in a given situation..
learned a lot from this video, will surely carry this knowledge until then.. 10/10
Simply wow.
ОтветитьVery helpful information! Thanks for taking me along!
ОтветитьEvery question I had has been answered, great video, mate. People learn a lot from you, I can confirm that!
ОтветитьThis is a great video, thank you! Learned a lot in those few minutes.
ОтветитьTerrific.. All the best from Colorado USA.. 😎🇺🇸
ОтветитьThis is wonderful. Thanks for sharing, however I was wondering since the exposures are so extremely different between the the sky and the foreground, why not simply use exposure bracketing and create and HDR image.
ОтветитьTop job mate thanks from North Wales U.K.Cheers
Ответитьthanks i'm realy enjoying your teaching style
Ответитьthanks for the tutorial 🤙👍
ОтветитьI have a Sony a6400 I just can’t afford the full frame yet.
ОтветитьSuperb.
Ответитьwow, hands down to your wonderful work sir.
ОтветитьThank you for this. I had struggled with night photography as far as my focus goes. I have just purchased PhotoPills and will be trying your technique out for getting infinity focus. I also just got the software Sequator (new one to me) and can't wait to try it out. So glad I stumbled on to this video!
ОтветитьExcellent!
ОтветитьWhat is the app you re using to find the focus distance please ?
ОтветитьRichard Good afternnon , somtimI tried out painting light at trees, and normally I had too bright painting, may I know what is your typical setting for camera for subject light painting ?
ОтветитьVery good!
ОтветитьGreat video. Thanks for sharing. How do you decide on how long to expose for? Here it is 15 seconds. Why not 30seconds or 2mins for instance? Thank you
ОтветитьNikon d750 thought it was full frame
ОтветитьThe best video on this topic. Exactly to the point.
ОтветитьSure, you should have more views and followers. Your craft is inspiring.
ОтветитьAmazing video
ОтветитьSensacional.
ОтветитьWow, this was a great video. I'm still pretty new to using Lightroom and Photoshop and you've done such a great job with this video as well as the first one I watched on Simple Milky Way Panoramas that I feel very confident to shoot and post-process something like this. I have a Nikon D7500 with two kit lenses as well as a Rokinon f/2 16mm lens that will be headed with me to a Bortle 2 sky for a few nights at the end of the month. Thanks again for sharing your knowledge in an easy to understand format. I did have a question - in Sequator (I've only used Deep Sky Stacker), you selected your Star images but then I notice that image 4 had been selected as the Base image - did you manually do that or did Sequator choose it automatically? Thanks again - Cheryl
ОтветитьGreat video. I know when I was involved with a photography club many members who had basic cameras struggled to get inspiration.
ОтветитьStandard camera and kit lens, sure... but with a crazy dark and clear sky with absolutely zero pollution. Im in a Bortle 4 area which is not terrible, and even after exposing for 30s my pictures do NOT look like that AT ALL... :/
Ответитьalways gets me seeing you get in on the "wrong side of the car" 😂
Ответитьthis guy’s a legend lol
ОтветитьGreat video!
ОтветитьJust stumbled on this vid & glad I did! So much cool info. I have a couple questions...how long did all of the shooting take & is Sequetor a free program or is it like LR...a monthly thing?
