I Was Wrong About The PS5 Pro....

I don't own any disk games yet so for me the pspro isn't that bad, also own two Controllers

I guess it’s okay for someone who doesn’t own a PS5. I hope it doesn’t sell well. It is too expensive. I have a PS5, Portal and VR2. I’m happy with all. I probably won’t get a PS6 for a long time. I invested so much in this thing. So no! Then in a few years when PS6 comes out PS5 games will get a remaster of PS6 graphics. So to me it’s a waste of time.

I would only have one as a gift. This marketing and setup make no sense. I have too many discs to have to special order an accessory drive. I'm out and I only have a 4k tv and the games usually move too fast for me to luxuriate in the enhanced graphics, even if I could see them on my setup.

I literally cashed in 4 year old crypto. It was $800.
I made money off that coin so essentially this PS5 PRO didnt cost me anything.

It's called a pro system. So it has the power of most desktop com. that cost $1200 plus. Now, remember, it is not for everyone and no desktops come with disk drives. So if you don't care about the enhancements, then don't buy it. Don't trash it because you don't want to spend the money. Also remember, these are sold at a loss for Sony. They don't make a dime on the system.

100% physical games without the need of an internet connection to download a portion of the game in order to play it. Just make games simple like they used to be, put the disc in the tray and play, with or without an internet connection. And stop console updates. PS1, PS2 never needed them, n64 never needed them and yet we can still play games on those consoles without issue! Which is what i want to do 20 years from now, and i also want the ability to sell the games i pay for.

well at gamestop with 2 year warrenty its about with tax $880.00. i put down $680.00 and i have $197.60 left to pay it off on oct. 23 and get mines on Nov. 7

i already have a 4tb SSD and the stand from my slim model... i only do digital games.. so i am okay

They traded the disc drive for over a terabyte of extra storage. It’s actually a better deal if you don’t care about physical media it’s inevitable.

Couldn’t be better explained

I was against physical copies to be gone until I started to just download games and enjoying them and after I got damaged my disk reader on my PS5 I never went back to physical copies and I am used too and it’s great to not have to make space for physical stuff and just turn on my console and start to play right away!!!

I feel like the Pro is a decent upgrade over the PS5 and I have a feeling PSSR will grow to be something really impactful going forward and it's gonna probably be perfected by the time PS6 comes out. However, this is a enthusiast level console and only the people who can actually tell the difference between gfx modes and want better performance over the base PS5 should even consider buying one. The Pc comparisons with the PRO are just ridiculous and misleading.

Console is $1200AUD, stand is $49.95AUD, disc drive is unknown at this point because no one has any stock and no retailer can even tell me if the drive will be available by launch . I was mostly interested in the Pro for potential improvements to PSVR2 and I really thought that the Pro announcement would be a perfect opportunity for Sony to remind us that yes they made the PSVR2 and look how wonderful those VR games will be with the Pro but no, crickets.

I already clearly see the difference in a few games and its Day 2. Dudes spend a fortune on controllers and monitors that give them a slight advantage, but then want to debate on whether or not a new Console with clearly superior graphics, Ram, etc is a good investment? I played days gone on the base ps5 on 43 inch tcl non oled TV and it looked amazing so between ps5 pro or oled TV, I choose the TV upgrade.

A PS5 Pro for $800 with just the console and one controller?!! I got a PS5 disc bundle with the console, 2 controllers, a portable controller, headphones, a controller and console covers for $1000. I loved the graphics on the PS5 with this bundle as a new PS5 player!
