What does it matter if an image is manipulated or not? Most images are manipulated in some way ! From removing unwanted objects to colour change to noise reduction and even compositions from various images. It is called Art and all that matters is how the artist and the viewer feels about the end result!
Adobe specialises in selling software to manipulate images and now they want to see if an image is manipulated or not?

Unless an image is related to photojournalism where facts should remain unchanged I don't see why it matters if an image is manipulated or not.
Adobe! If image manipulation bothers you then stop selling your image manipulation software, close your shop and go home!

Will this kill photo buisiness and open eyes for everyone ?

If DARPA is involved the purpose is to be able to learn how to create false images that are 100% fake but appear digitally to be 100% real to fool the public and claim "These are unaltered images" proof of whatever lie they want to create. While the intent may be to see how smart AI can be...this is dangerous because it will be used for evil...PERIOD. It just will.

Does revealing detection techniques give valuable information to these people in how to make more undetectable fakes?
